Runhild

Although considered a shieldmaiden of Rohan, Runhild was originally raised to be the future wife of a well to do horselord. She’s kept many of the mannerisms that a woman would be considered to have: patience, gentleness, a kind heart, and a soft soul.

Runhild feels deeply, and it seems that her emotion is what drives her most of the time. She cares about nearly everyone that crosses her path, though there are certainly a few exceptions. This could be due to the fact she never had siblings, and desired close friendships from a very young age.

She stays as reserved as possible. Her mother used to say that no man would want an easily angered woman and that she has enough fire from her hair already. Even when frustrated, Runhild somehow manages to keep a level head - most of the time. There are instances where the flames get fanned a little too much, and she’s not afraid to burn the ones who start it.


She is rather proud. To gain the recognition of becoming a shieldmaiden is no easy feat. While not openly bragging, she holds herself to a certain standard, and it is sometimes difficult for her to accept defeat.

She loves the idea of the world beyond the walls of her homeland. Her peaceful attitude has done nothing to quell her desire for adventure. She is often guilty of daydreaming. She also has a tendency to make things out to be more golden than they really are. There is a childlike adoration for stories and history.

She also has a deep love for music. She has a decent singing voice, and is well aware of it. She’ll do it anytime she sees fit.

Mannerisms: Tugging on her hair (nervous, thoughtful), chewing on her hair (nervous, thoughtful), an odd, quick twinge of her nose or lips (confused, scared).
