Micheál

Micheál stands at about six feet tall, with defined muscles. His complexion is tanned from his time spent on the sea, and is generally fairly pleasant to look at. He maintains his appearance to always appear clean and well put together. Dressing above his status in life.

Having trained for twenty long years with the sword, he attempts to offers his services to the middle class and nobility to prepare their children for military service to make a living.

Micheál grew up under the keen eye of a strict guardian. Neither of them knew who his parents were, just that money and instructions had been left for his care.

Micheál was given a basic, but important education from as soon as was possible. He was taught how to read, write, and how to think. However, none of these could keep the young boys attention for long. Instead dreaming of far away adventures and one day meeting his mysterious parents.

So in the middle of the night, he snuck away, and joined aboard an outbound merchant ship as a cabin boy.

Thankfully for the child, the captain was an honorable man who didn’t take advantage of the boy. Instead, he began teaching his valuable lessons about seamanship. Navigating, sailing, repairs, haggling, negotiating, and swordsmanship.

All these seemed to come easily to Micheál, who through a combination of hard work and talent quickly worked his way up from cabin boy, to valued crew members, to deck boss.

All went well for the young man, until he encountered his first major setback in life.

In the middle of the night, the ship was raiding by pirates. The crew fought valiantly, and the battle was won, but not without costs.

Most of the crew, including the captain was either dead or injured. Micheál took a solid slash to his chest, and teetered for weeks on the edge of life and death. During those excruciating days, he came to a realization “who would forget me when I’m gone?”

Horrified by this thought, he vowed to himself that if he recovered, he would ensure that everyone knew his name.

Months later, after his wound had healed and the funerals were done, Micheál retired from the life on the sea. Returning to his home city of Püertagœ, ready to begin his life anew in the 11th ring.

Or so he thought, despite having spent Years of his life at sea, fighting off the occasional pirates, he was not able to advance very far in life or get people to take him serious. Realizing that he would need some more service, he enrolled in the military for the the next several months (8 years by Earth time.) Now, with plenty of experience and actual credentials, he’s ready to make his name known, at least he hopes.
