Clara Marie Desmond

As a young girl a great deal of Clara’s time was spent aboard a large ship her mother used to navigate the oceans. Her father being a member of the one time queen of the sorceri’s court had duties to attend to in his realm though he was frequently with them. The two had an odd relationship that Clara seemed to ignore. She and her elder brother led relatively good lives stopping on islands in tropical climates and being tutored by their mother and other relatives that came aboard the ship. Her brother James was only three years older and displayed only sorceri ability where as Clara displayed both, but there was never any animosity between the two. When they reached their twenties their mother sent the two to live in New Orleans with a Sorceri aunt, to learn about the other kinds of lore beings and to give them some freedom.

Clara young and naïve as young women often are found herself drawn into the world of music and show it took some time for her to comprehend and deal with her ability to enchant others but she soon managed to control it. An older Sorceri male caught her eye, he was also a member of the Sorceri court, and the two hit it off well or so she thought. His philandering ways left her with a broken heart weeks before they were to be wed in the Sorceri tradition. When she called off the wedding his anger flared, and he resorted to giving away her location to verkeners in revenge.

The attack came on her twenty fourth birthday, a small celebration was being held in a clearing near the bayou…her brother died in her arms having not frozen into his immortality. Years later when she had frozen into hers, she got her own revenge on her ex. With him no longer an issue and her disconnected from both sides of her family she found herself as a performer and proceeded to travel the world. Presently she has stepped out of the spot light of preforming and owns several producing companies and under another identity has multiple records of her own.
