Bara: This position is used for a variety of reasons, commonly for binding captured slaves. She lays on her stomach, face down and turned to the left with her wrists crossed behind her back. Her ankles are crossed, as well.
Belly: Similar to Bara, she assumes a face down position, head is turned to the left, arms at her sides with the palms turned up, and legs are parted widely.
Bracelets: Useful for binding a slave's hands, traditionally with chains. She places her hands behind her back. Her shoulders are pushed back with breasts thrust outward and hands clasped tightly behind. A common place to chain slaves is to their Master’s bed or at a Tavern. There, rings are fixed in the walls that a Master may use to bind a slave while he goes about his business.
Collar: Also called Submission. She kneels at the Master’s feet and leans her body back, resting her weight upon her heels. Her arms extended upward crossed at the wrists and her head beneath them is lowered in supplication.
Hair: She stands with her feet flat on the floor and bows gracefully at the waist that her hair might fall forward for display, be shorn, seized, or used for any purpose that the Master desires. This might include...
Leading: Very much like 'Hair' the slave moves behind her Master before bending at the waist. She places her hands behind her and puts the side of her head to her Master’s hip that he might lead her easily by the hair or collar while walking.
Leash: This position is used to attach a leash, naturally. She kneels with her back to her Master. Her chin lifts and turns to the left offering her collar for leashing. Her wrists are behind her back, ready if needed, to be snapped into slave bracelets.
Nadu: This is the most basic of all the positions. As such, the slave will be in Nadu most of the time. She kneels before her Master with head held high but eyes downcast. The knees spread wide open. Shoulders are back to keep her back arched slightly and lift her breasts outward. Her hands lie on her thighs with palms facing upward.
Obeisance: There are a few variations on this command depending on the region or Master. The most common requires the slave lay upon her stomach face down before the Master. She turns her head and places her cheek against his foot, kissing it lightly in a gesture of love and submission. Other forms may require the slave to crawl on her belly to the Master's feet first, or rather than kiss she places his foot on her head or neck. Some Masters have their slaves greet them this way daily with the phrase "I hope to be pleasing to you today."
She-Sleen: While there are probably a number of local names for this rather universal position, I'm leaving the original name here. The slave falls to her hands and knees with head down on the floor. Her hindquarters are thrust high for viewing, or her Master’s pleasure. 'Serve as She-Sleen' is an instruction whereby the slave performs her regular duties upon hands and knees, without the use of her hands. In this mode she may not rise to her feet and may use only her mouth to grasp and manipulate objects.
Slave Lips: Also sometimes given as 'Kiss'. When this command is used she turns her head up to the Master with lips pursed as if for a sensual kiss. From then on she may not move until granted the kiss of a Master. This command is typically used in a number of games where slaves who persevere are given a reward for their obedience, and a consequence to those who cannot hold. The difficulty changes depending on what position the slave is placed within.
Slaver's Kiss: This command actually evolved from a Gorean euphemism for the whip. She falls to the floor upon all four, and lowers her head to the ground. This forces her buttocks to thrust upward. Thighs should be widely spread to expose her hindquarters fully in preparation for the caress of the leather against her body. Where as She-Sleen offers the possibility that the slave may be given another task to perform, slaves awaiting the Slaver's Kiss are expected to remain stationary until the next command is issued.
Sula: A simple position though the name has no direct translation. The slave lies on her back with hands at her sides, palms facing upward. Legs should be spread wide open. This position is often seen in the slave markets where patrons can inspect the merchandise, including the thigh brand, without having to interact with the slave directly.
Sula-Ki: A variation of to the Sula command. Once she has assumed the Sula position, the slave slowly lifts her hips up off the floor as if beckoning her Master with her body. Well trained kajira are sometimes given this command only to hear 'Slave Lips' next. A challenging demand indeed.
Table: Last of the She-Sleen forms, the slave kneels then bends forward to place her elbows on the floor. Hands are locked on forearms while knees are parted and used to adjust height until her back is level. Her head should be held up. The goal of this position is to balance whatever the Master might place on her back. This can be purely utilitarian in nature though some Masters will turn it into a game similar to 'Slave Lips'.
Tower: A variation of Nadu in which she kneels much the same way. This time it is with her palms down and her knees modestly together. This variation is also referred to as 'Tower Slave Position' and is typically reserved for white-silk slave girls or slave girls who serve their Master in a non-sexual way, such as a Tower Slave or female Work Slave. The implication here is that the slave is a tool to be used by the house, not offered as a toy.
Whipping:Also called 'Kneel to the Whip' sometimes, the slave first assumes the Nadu position but with her arms crossed in front. She then leans forward and places her head to the floor. Her hair should be swept forward over her shoulders in order that her back might be utterly exposed to the whip. This position is intended for punishments though some find it useful for a rougher style of play.
