Marzena Frost

Over the years, Marzena has gained, practised and mastered many abilities both of a supernatural and mundane nature. Despite her slender frame and the fact she lacks muscle, she is not completely defenceless and is very capable of defending herself should the need arise. She has also learned how to perform various mortal skills and languages as time has passed to make sure she keeps up with the times and doesn't become vulnerable.

She is far from a genius hacker who can make robots and set up her own security system. Marzena knows a little more than average about modern technology, how to use a phone, laptop, etc and can attempt to fix them if they go wrong. But that's where her talents end.

Given how long she's been alive, Marzena has made sure she knows how to defend herself. She is well practised in various forms of martial arts, including; Karate, Jujitsu, Krav maga, Boxing and general street fighting.

Multilingualism: Poor ● ● ● ● ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ Excellent
Given the world has over 6,500 languages to date, Marzena's knowledge and ability to speak multiple languages may seem lacking. But she knows; English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin and Portuguese fluently. She is currently learning to speak Arabic.

Biological Abilities
While Marzena was a human for twenty-three years, she has been a Souruita for much longer. Following her transformation, she received certain abilities that were a gift from the devil himself, to enable her to collect souls for him.

Soul Absorbtion
"The power to absorb souls and utilize them in some way."
Marzena uses this particular ability to extend her own lifespan by stealing the remaining years the soul she consumes has left. This particular ability also allows her to absorb her target's learned skills and abilities to make herself stronger. However, she can only steal a soul via a willing kiss and she will continually have to absorb souls in order to survive. She is unable to absorb the souls of immortal beings or those who do not have a soul to begin with.


Demon Summoning
"The power to summon demons or demonic beings."
If Marzena ever finds herself under threat, or if someone is trying to prevent her from obtaining a particular soul that Lucifer wants then she is capable of summoning one particular demon that has been assigned to her by the devil. This can be to help her in combat, or to grant her temporary power that will amplify her own abilities. However, depending on her foe, the demon might not be powerful enough to assist Marzena so it does depend on who she's up against.

Absorbed Abilities
These abilities are gained after Marzena has absorbed the soul of a supernatural being. If the soul is ever returned, she will lose the abilities that belonged to that particular victim. However, she is able to steal them again from a different soul.

Illusion Manipulation
"The power to manipulate illusions."
After consuming the soul of a shapeshifter, Marzena found herself able to create and control illusions at will. With this ability, she can cause targets to see, hear, touch, smell and/or taste things which do not actually exist or cause them to perceive things differently from what they truly are. While she does not have complete mastery over this ability, she has been practising and is showing signs of great potential. But her illusions are limited by plausibility.


Aquatic Breathing
"The power to breathe in both water and air."
Marzena found herself able to breathe underwater after she consumed the soul of a mermaid. When submerged, gills will form behind her ears and give her the ability to remain under water for as long as she likes and they will disappear as soon as she resurfaces. Like all creatures who spend time underwater, Marzena is exposed to various chemicals or pollutants that may be in the water and could potentially have a long-term effect on her health.

Weaknesses
Like all beings that have some kind of power, Marzena is not invulnerable. There are particular elements that will stop her on a biological level, while other things are more focused on blocking her more supernatural-based abilities.

Soul Restoration
"The power to restore and return souls to those who have lost them."
Users of this ability can restore and return souls to those who have lost them by various means, such as magic, soul removal, soul absorption, etc. To take a soul back from Marzena, it must be forcibly removed via a kiss. If the soul is returned to its owner, Marzena will lose the years she stole from that victim. Depending on how many years she had in the "bank", she could be at risk of dying, but if not will be left very weak for a few hours while her body recovers.


Holy Water or Objects
"A weakness to items or water that has been blessed by a priest."
As Marzena has bound her soul to the devil, that makes her one of his followers. So it makes sense that while Satanistic items give her strength, Holy items can cause her pain or weakness. If she is touched with a holy cross or water, her skin will burn and take a few days to full cover. Holy water can also be used to trap Marzena by placing it in a circle around her on the floor and she will be unable to cross. She cannot look directly at a holy cross or she'll get a headache.


Iron Suseptibility
"A weakness to anything made of pure iron."
When she signed her contract with Lucifer, Marzena unknowingly became one of his many minions and while she inherited abilities from him, she also gained a weakness too. Like the vast number of demons under the devil's watch, Marzena is susceptible to any item made of pure iron. When placed against her skin, it will cause her an enormous amount of pain and will drain her of both energy and power. Iron restraints can render her powerless and helpless.
