Lillium

Lillium is not as tall as other ancient dragons, but for humans and other creatures, she is above average. Her body is thin and not muscular, and on a first look, it seems standard.
Her short, wavy, pastel purple hair doesn't quite reach her shoulders and is not very well taken care of. Her bangs reach almost to her nose, but they leave space for her bright, red eyes.
They can often be seen in the dark because of how much they glow, and it can be even more if she gets furious. Her pupils are not human; instead, they are vertical and long, like a reptile's.

She wears her military general outfit almost all the time; mainly black, the details being red and golden. The cap hides her short horns and has the symbol of the Burning Blackthorn in the centre: a rose surrounded by golden thorns.
Her long jacket is open at the middle, to reveal a black tie, and is split at her hips by a belt to become a leg cloak, covering a large skirt. One of the long sleeves has a red armband with a pentagram on it, a symbol of the ancient dragons.
Another large cloak extends over the jacket, reaching her feet, red on the inside and black on the outside. And when not hidden, two large dragon wings push it backwards.
She walks on two high, black leather boots with thick laces, and hides her sharp claws with white gloves.

Without much information on her, one can easily think Lillium is serious all the time. She constantly forces herself not to display overly intense feelings, which she usually gets a lot. Because of this, while she plays a serious, cold and merciless persona to her followers and enemies, she often doesn't feel that way on the inside.
That is the reason why the members of the Burning Blackthorn see her as a great leader. She is tolerant and cooperative with those who work with her, and she tends to help and protect her allies more than necessary.

Once Lillium is decided on something, she will stop at nothing until it is done. Almost none of her team's missions are failed, either because of her drastic measures when the operation is not going as planned, or because they constantly try again until they accomplish what they wanted.
She is a considerably introverted person and has a hard time reading others. Because of this, she tries to remain distant to her allies, only treating them as workers of her team. She is scared of making them realize her doubts, and have them stop following her.

Born as an ancient dragon, in one of the most powerful and dominating dragon families, Lillium Elin was conceived as the only heir of the Elins.
She had parents and an older sister, and when she was five years old, she also met her fiance, member of another dragon family, the same age as her. She was set up for a political marriage, so her parents didn't mind if she liked him or not; they just wanted her to tolerate him.
The Elin family was very corrupt. Lillium learned at a young age that they controlled many kingdoms from the shadows, using their kings as mere puppets. The few that discovered this fact did not want to deal with ancient dragons, creatures that could easily fulminate mortal beings with little effort. Effectively, they were blackmailed by their own fear.
The Sagard family, which Lillium was supposed to marry the son of, was not like that. As the decades passed, Lillium saw that they were noble and honourable, reaching the same status of political power as the Elins through using their strength to help others and solving problems. Lillium learned that her family was evil and manipulative. She began to question if she wanted to be their heir.
When Lillium and her fiance were old enough to marry, her father organized a wedding, inviting many other dragon families. However, when she entered the place, all she saw was a pile of corpses, including one of her fiance. Bloodstains everywhere, and a large smell of burning flesh. That scene was stuck inside of Lillium's head forever.
Her father, weeks before, learned that the Sagards were planning to marry their son to Lillium to change the 'horrible methods' of the Elin family when she became their heir. Furious, he waited until everyone was united on the wedding's place, and he killed them all, including the ones who tried to stop him or run away. All of the attendants were slain.
Disgusted and broken, Lillium abandoned her heritage and ran far away, hiding on a faraway empire that she knew was not under their control. She didn't know what to do in life without them, but she did know that she didn't want to see them ever again.

She spent many years in that empire, hiding her wings and wearing a hat to cover her horns. She lived in a small house and worked as a blacksmith's assistant.
One day, Lillium got assaulted. A man in an alley backed her into a corner with a knife, asking for money. Without dropping a sweat, Lillium broke the man's arms. She was about to throw him away until she started to hear what he was crying about.
She soon discovered the man was blackmailed into assaulting others for money, as he owed a debt to a shady organization named the Burning Blackthorn. It supposedly offered deals to homeless men to give them food and a place to stay, in exchange for them working. But the work was to provide the organization with a huge amount of money, and if they failed, they were killed.
Lillium decided to help the poor man and spent a lot of hours investigating the Burning Blackthorn. The organization was a mafia and gained huge money and power through blackmailing others and hiring talented espionage members.
She joined the organization, going to one of their hideouts and passing the test, which required getting out of a situation where armed swordsmen surrounded her. She split their weapons in half after the men realized they made no impact on her skin.
After joining, she spent some time figuring out how they worked and doing some jobs for them. They mostly were assassin work, making her kill politicians and knights, however she managed to avoid doing most of that, instead telling her targets to run away into hiding for a few months. It surprised even herself that this strategy worked. Once she felt this was enough, and having learned that the ulterior motive of the group was not anything special besides personal gain, she decided to kill the headmaster. It was a project of a lot of months, investigating who he was and how he was hiding. It was almost a miracle she managed to discover it.

She could have just continued her life, happy that she helped out the homeless. But, on her time in that organization, she found out there were many others like it. Many groups of hidden people that ruled in secret over the empire. Lillium decided she wanted to change all of that. She wanted to do something good for others, like her fiance would have done.
Since then, she has turned the Burning Blackthorn into an organization to protect the kingdom, living a double life as just a normal citizen and as the leader of a national group. She gathered a lot of teammates and followers, but she's not afraid to get her hands dirty and do jobs herself. They raid and murder those who commit horrible crimes and plot against the safety of others. Sometimes, they secretly work together with the royal guard itself.

Lillium is an ancient, a race generally more powerful and old than other dragons. She is way stronger and more resilient than humans, them generally being no match for her in a purely physical fight.
The Elin family consists of alloy elementals, giving Lillium the power to bend and transform metal into her will. Any metal, even the iron in a human's blood, or in the dirt and rocks that constitute the ground. Her ability can be used to burst massive metal spikes from the floor. She can bend swords, removing their edge, or shrink an armour, making it too tight and hard to move in. In the most extreme cases, she can bend the iron in a bloodstream, to fill it with needles and saws, to dismember parts of the body, or to pierce the eyes and blind someone. However, these cases are very, very few, and she'd rather not harm someone so badly, often prefering to just retire, or give up.
She can fly with her wings, but she'd rather keep her race private, since, even if her race is more powerful than other dragons, she is no match for them in terms of strength and constitution.
Lillium does not use any weapons or armour.
