Sølvi Nyström

Sølvi has spent many years on this earth and because of that, she's had a long time to master the abilities she was born with. She's also had an ample amount of time to learn new skills and perfect them too. But there is still much for her to learn.

Sølvi is quite an old-fashioned woman and prefers to keep away from technology if she can. She has a mobile phone, but that's it.

Over the years, Sølvi has developed her skills with both weapons and hand-to-hand combat, making her a very skilled fighter.

To date, Sølvi only knows three languages fluently; Icelandic, Norweigan and English. She can read, write and speak in all three.

Upon her birth, Sølvi was blessed with several abilities from the Mountain Goddess: Skaði. These abilities were meant to allow her to fufil her destiny to defeat the "great destruction". Over her long life span, she has spent many years practicing and perfecting these abilities.

Intangibility:
'To pass through physical matter.'
The user is able to move through solid objects and ignore most physical effects in their way, exact means how this is done vary between slipping partially into other dimensions, being able to make their own particles move between other particles, vibrating their molecules into a new quantum frequency, etc.

Precognition:
'To perceive future events before they happen.'
Users have the ability to foresee possible futures and observe what may happen. As knowledge of the future invariably causes that future to change, visions of the future are subject to frequent shifting. While not being able to select futures or travel through time, these visions may assist in possible courses of action.

Telekinesis:
'To manipulate objects/matter with one's mind.'
The user can influence/manipulate/move objects/matter with their mind. Telekinesis is one of the bases of many superpowers that are based on "controlling/manipulating," and may evolve to the point that a Telekinetic can control anything at a subatomic, particle and universal level.

These are the main skills that Sølvi has learned throughout her lifetime, not the ones she was born with. Instead, she has spent many years developing and practising these abilities to get the stage she is at now. Of course, she is still able to learn more.

Astral Projection: ◈◈◈◇◇
'To separate one's spirit from one's body.'
User can separate their spirit from the body by entering a trance, gaining access of travel the Astral Plane. Experienced individuals may control both the Astral and Corporeal presences.

Self-Sustainability: ◈◈◈◈◇
'To to maintain oneself itself by independent effort.'
Self-sustainability is a type of sustainable living in which nothing is consumed other than what is produced by self-sufficient individuals. Examples of attempts at self-sufficiency include simple living, homesteading, off-the-grid, survivalism, etc.

Sigil Magic: ◈◈◈◇◇
'To formulate symbols that can cause special events to occur.'
User can formulate symbols that can cause special events to occur, depending on the symbol that empowers the user, they can achieve a variety of abilities. With a great number of symbols that can be turned to magic, the user can do almost anything.

Sølvi's weaknesses can be split into two separate categories; biological and mundane. Because she has been gifted with certain abilities, she does have equal, more supernatural-based weaknesses for those abilities. But she is also prone to the same weaknesses as humans as well.


Emotional: Sølvi's emotional state can dictate exactly how powerful and successful she is when using her abilities, or how much control she will have over them. In times of stress or uncertainty, her abilities might become unpredictable and dangerous, or she might not be able to harness them at all. Like any mortal, her emotions can also be used against her to blackmail her.

Mental: One of the main aspects of being able to use her abilities is to have a good level of concentration. So it is highly possible for her powers to be weakened or nullified by stress, fear, distractions, disbelief, lack of confidence, morale and willpower, etc. Furthermore, they require intense amounts of concentration, focus and mental effort to use properly.

Physical: Sølvi is not immortal, so, therefore, she is susceptible to the same dangers as mortal beings when it comes to physical attacks. Being stabbed, shot or beaten to a severe extent can have serious consequences. Like most people, she will need time to recover from her injuries, or may be left with long-lasting damage if the injuries are that severe.

Electrokinesis:
'To psychically generate and manipulate electricity.'
Whether this is using a more mundane method of producing an electric shock, like a taser or using a supernatural being who can control it at will, Sølvi is vulnerable to this. Not only can it cause her a great deal of pain, but it can also prevent her from using her Intangibility for a considerable amount of time.

Magic Supression:
'To suppress or prevent magic.'
By using iron in varying methods, the sigils Sølvi creates can be weakened or prevented entirely. If she is in a room that has an iron floor/walls/ceiling, then the amount of power her sigils contain will decrease drastically. If there is too much iron in her blood, she might not be able to create them at all.

Psionic Negation:
'To nullify the psionic powers of others.'
The user can negate superhuman powers and effects that originate from psionics. So if someone were to use this against Sølvi she would no longer be able to use her Telekinesis until the effects of the negation were ended by its user. Furthermore, if this process was applied to a machine, she could be kept prisoner.

Obviously Sølvi has many possessions and it would take too much time to list them all. These are merely the most important ones or the ones with the most value to her, be it on a emotional or financial level. It is unlikely she will ever choose to part with them.

When she was thirteen, Sølvi's father gave her his own Sunstone so so she could have something of his close when he went on voyages as she would miss him terribly.

While she was there she found an injured maple fox who she nursed to health, named Neve and took in as her familiar.
