Maddox Thompson

For as long as Maddox can remember, he's wanted to help people. He comes from a family where his father is a Trauma and ER surgeon, and his mother is a therapist. He is the youngest of five children and all of his older siblings found professions where they could help people. His parents raised him up to always have an open ear and a shoulder for people to lean on, and to never take anything for granted.

While Maddox's childhood wasn't particularly bad, it was stressful. Maddox was very ill during his childhood, and had been sheltered because of this. His life experiences are very little, and he gets overwhelmed fairly easily. Maddox craves to get out of his own skin, if you will, and explore the world that he didn't get to see for much of his childhood.

It wasn't until his teenage years that he was able to start being a normal kid, but by this time he had developed social anxiety from how his parents had a lot of expectations from him and his siblings to excel in everything that they did. His only social interactions were his family, and for quite some time he didn't know how to speak or act around others and it caused him to temporarily go mute when being out in public, especially at school.

He's still learning to navigate people and the real world, and when he gets startled or experiences too much of a strong emotion he finds himself temporarily transforming into a dove, but he's working on that. Now after going through college and becoming a registered nurse, he finds himself helping people when he can.
