Draven let out a heavy sigh as the music played in his ears. That was how his interest in music started. He needed an outlet. A way to make the voices in his head stop. By the time he started playing on his own in bars on his old acoustic guitar, he was finally realizing his place in the world. The smiles that curled up the corners of his audience's lips... The people that approached him all teary-eyed, thanking him for everything. He thought everything was finally going his way...

Then he met Selene. He was so certain this was the big break he needed. Until she tossed him out of her office in a blood-thirsty rage. He didn't recall until later on how many people he had killed. How many lives he'd taken. He hated himself for it. He wanted out and away from her, but after signing a contract in blood, the only way out was death. And not a damn person knew what happened to a vampire if they died.

Year after year went by until he finally decided to say fuck it. He was tired of seeing a large collection of people and only being able to hear the blood pumping through their veins. Tired of seeing them as food. So, he left. Selene wasn't happy and he was more than aware of the hole he was digging for himself. Worse even, his roommate Liam would probably get dragged down with him.
