personality
If there were any two words that defined Lenore, it would be eccentric and introspective. While she is introverted and quiet, perhaps sometimes seemingly aloof and reserved, she is undoubtedly kind. Tolerant and accepting, she is generous with her patience and it takes quite a bit to offend or upset her. With a fondness for all things different, she is attracted to the ugly, the grim, and misunderstood. While some of her mannerisms would be considered odd or quirky, her warmth betrays her cold appearance and love for the macabre.

history
Born in Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1632 to two Puritan settlers, Lenore grew up in a religious and modest household. She was a quiet, introspective child who primarily kept to herself and was not afforded a proper education. Instead, she relied on a governess who fixated on teaching household skills like sewing. Reading was out of the question, and something she often did in secret as soon as she was able to -- all thanks to a wily boy who happened to befriend her.
While her family initially came to the New World to escape religious persecution, in a matter of a few years, her parents became nearly destitute from poor crop yields and a lack of steady income. Returning to England became their last resort. Upon arriving, her parents made the decision to send her to distant relatives in the western shore of England to off-shoot the financial burden they had incurred. In the small parish named Christow, located near the desolate edge of Dartmoor, is where she would call home for the next eight years. Here she received an education under tutelage from the parish church.
During this time, she had taken a serious interest in reading and sewing. The latter was something her guardians saw as potentially profitable. As she reached the late age of puberty, her relatives sold her services to a small but renown tailor and seamstress couple in London. There she would learn her trade of choice, and finding her niche in beadwork and lace, found it quite profitable as well. Despite most coin returning to the couple for food and board during her apprenticeship, she managed to scrimp enough to end her services by buying herself out.
From then on out, she has worked diligently and independently at her own personal fashion house, BLCK. She prides herself on her work and reputation, earning the respect of both clients and other houses alike. -
