On land Tide is indistinguishable from any other human. With naturally tanned skin and a swimmer's build, he strikes a handsome figure that most of the wahine share. His hair is a constant tangle of rich brown hair which pairs well with his grass-green eyes. His nose and his ears are pierced and his skin is decorated in traditional tatau or tattoos. Some of them depicting the Nahesi Gods, others his island home, and others are blessings or representations of great moments in his life. Such as the tatau on his leg, which was done in celebration of him coming of age and earning his fins. When splashed by water or anything made mostly of water his true form is slowly revealed, transforming in full when submerged or fully soaked. In this form, his face and upper body remain mostly the same in structure. Even most of his tattoos remain. However, his hair turns a blue-green and his skin turns a blueish-grey and takes on a texture somewhere between shark skin and dolphin skin. Gills on his neck which are usually closed and hidden open up, his front teeth grow pointed, and his ears become more finlike. Even his eyes change, the sclera turning a deep black and his eyes turning blue. And most extreme his legs merge and grow scales. Turning into a blue tail like that of a fish with matching fins along his forearms. While usually invisible to the naked eye he also has various bioluminescent spots like freckles which can only be seen in low lighting. Scattered over his back and arms as well as throughout his tail. His irises are similarly bioluminescent. In their true forms Wahine take on genitalia similar to that of a dolphin. Where beneath their hips male and female are only distinguishable by the size of their tails. Their reproductive organs are hidden behind a slit that is near impossible to spot with the untrained eye. When aroused the area engorges and begins to produce lubricant. For females, this generally stops here, with the slit opening up to reveal their sex beneath. For males, the penis will begin to peek out from their slit and with stimulation will exit fully from their internal slit. Much like a dolphin, the fully hardened penis is quite large and tentacular in shape. It is also somewhat prehensile to allow for easier mating underwater.

... Personality 【✔ Eager, Kind, Laid back ✔】
【♦ Rarely sits still, Daydreams, a bit Nieve ♦】
【✘ Laggard, Trusts too easily, Oblivious/Dense ✘】
Tide is known to have taken to island life a little too well. Enjoying the laid-back temperament and ohana style relationships. In Mo'o village this is far from the problem. The native islanders treat each other like family, rarely even trading money for goods. Instead, they often give away the spoils of their work to the rest of the community. And should anyone have a specific need for something they need only ask. Their island provides more than enough for all and they are more than eager to share. A mentality that applies to more physical needs as well. It is not uncommon for single members in an age group to pair up for some relief regardless of sexuality. Outside of Nahesi society, however, his easy-going and quick-to-trust personality can lead him to as much trouble as it does enjoyment. He is quick to give away what he can spare and trust that others do not wish him any harm. And sadly there are always people willing to take advantage of this. Though so far Tide has been lucky to have lost anything more than money. His easygoing outlook on life also makes him less reliable in more serious situations. It is generally best to ask him to arrive an hour before you actually want him there. And even then there is still a chance he could be late. And even when he does show up he can be socially dense. Unable to pick up on your disappointment or hints unless it is laid out almost painfully obvious. Where Tide is most in his element is unsurprisingly the ocean. Even among the Wahine, he is particularly connected to his watery home. Often spending most of his time in the water and even when he is on land he seems to be in a rush to return to the water. Earning him the nickname Kū ʻole as he rarely seems to stay still. His habitation of the ocean often means he is also the first to know what goes on beneath the waves. Often times being the islander to go to about the movements of the fish or location of lost valuables. Which easily translated into his work as he got older. Becoming a fisherman as well as collecting shells and driftwood from the sea floor for the islanders to craft with. |
