A N Dx F A I R SUB HEADLINE ![]() Siren legend says that when merfolk are born, they are blessed by the residing moon the night of their birth. And so, merfolk born under a full moon are believed to possess immense power. Part of their magic relies on the moonlight, the pale glow calling to its children, and bestowing its gifs upon them in a breathtaking exchange of light and music. And if you listen closely on nights when the skies are clear, chances are that you will hear the ethereal Siren-song blend with the crashing waves of the ocean. When Elodie came into the world, no moon was present in the sky: An ill omen amongst her mother’s kin, most of whom condemned the birth of the child before she had drawn her first breath. ‘Our kinds are not to be mixed,’ they said, ‘the child is unnatural, an abomination. She will possess no power.’ Words uttered out of fear and superstition, perhaps even hate. The birth of the cursed Archeron child became easy propaganda for the elders to convince merfolk to stay at sea and never meddle in the affairs of the Fae. Little did they know, but in the absence of the moon, the birth of the Archeron heir was witnessed by the stars. They fell from the skies in a dazzling cascade of light, the sky itself breaking open to pour its blessings upon the child. From the watchtowers of Terrasen's coast to the dark trenches of the sea, the sight could not be ignored: A silent storm of light, burning against the black canvas of night. Where the last of those stars fell, they kissed young Elodie's brow, leaving faint constellations etched into her skin - visible only in starlight - binding her to a pact older than the seas or the skies. The stars whispered to her then, though no one else could hear. They promised their knowledge, their protection, and the strength of the void between them. They would keep her safe until the end of her time, but in return, she would be their instrument in the mortal realm. An arrow loosed toward a destiny she could not yet fathom.
"As she ran her fingers through her golden hair, lights glittered through the strands like stars. She held the galaxy upon her head, and it fell like stardust to the floor."
– Unknown In the years that followed, her gift revealed itself in ways that defied the laws of the earth. The starlight in her veins could be called forth at will, summoned to guide the lost through the blackest night, or bent into a weapon, blades of pure light that could cut through shadow and steel alike. When she loosed an arrow in battle, the stars often kissed its flight, turning it into a streak of silver fire that never missed its mark. But their blessing was more than a weapon. The stars were old, older than the mountains, older than the seas, and they had watched the world's first dawn. Through them, Elodie sometimes glimpsed the past as if it were unfolding before her eyes: The rise of ancient kingdoms, the forging of weapons now buried, the birth of songs long forgotten. These visions came to her in moments of stillness, when the night was clear and her heart was quiet enough to hear the heavens speak. And on rarer nights still, they showed her the opposite: Brief, flickering shards of what had yet to come. A face she had not yet met. The shiver of steel in an alley where she had not yet walked. The shadow of a choice she would one day make. The stars offered these fragments sparingly, and never with explanation, for even they knew the danger of too much foresight. She could speak to them, too, if she chose. All it took was a song, low and unhurried, carried on the wind or the waves. They answered in music of their own, a harmony beyond mortal voice, threading into her mind like a warm tide. Sometimes they offered counsel. Sometimes comfort. Sometimes, simply their presence, a quiet company for a general who, despite her armour and titles, was no stranger to loneliness. As she grew, the blessing she bore became a quiet, constant thing. It hummed in her veins when the wind carried the salt of the ocean and the shadows of clouds left the stars bare to watch her. While her father trained her hand to draw a bowstring steady, the stars trained her heart to endure, to see what others could not, to bend without breaking. She learned to walk the courtly halls of Terrasen with a diplomat's grace, to ride into battle with a general's authority, and to wield her words - and her silence - as deftly as an archer's arrow. And yet, for all her service and skill, the waters of Caladore remained closed to her. Her mother never spoke of the siren kingdom in anything but guarded tones, never letting her daughter venture past the reefs where the water turned cold and strange. But Elodie could feel it, like a song sung far beneath the waves: An ancient melody of blood and belonging, one she was forbidden to answer. It would be many years before she would learn that songs like that cannot be silenced forever. |

Extroverted· Intuitive· Feeling· Judging ![]() Protagonists feel called to serve a greater purpose in life. Thoughtful and idealistic, these personality types strive to have a positive impact on other people and the world around them. They rarely shy away from an opportunity to do the right thing, even when doing so is far from easy. Protagonists are born leaders, which explains why these personalities can be found among many notable leaders, and scholars. Their passion and charisma allow them to inspire others not just in their careers but in every arena of their lives, including their relationships. Few things bring Protagonists a deeper sense of joy and fulfilment than guiding friends and loved ones to grow into their best selves. Protagonists tend to be vocal about their values, including authenticity and altruism. When something strikes them as unjust or wrong, they speak up. But they rarely come across as brash or pushy, as their sensitivity and insight guide them to speak in ways that resonate with others. These personality types have an uncanny ability to pick up on people's underlying motivations and beliefs. At times, they may not even understand how they come to grasp another person's mind and heart so quickly. These flashes of insight can make Protagonists incredibly persuasive and inspiring communicators. Protagonists' secret weapon is their purity of intent. Generally speaking, they are motivated by a sincere wish to do the right thing rather than a desire to manipulate or have power over other people. Even when they disagree with someone, Protagonists search for common ground. The result is that people with this personality type can communicate with an eloquence and sensitivity that are nearly impossible to ignore – particularly when they speak about matters that are close to their hearts. When Protagonists care about someone, they want to help solve that person's problems – sometimes at any cost. The good news is that many people are grateful for Protagonists' assistance and advice. After all, there is a reason that these personalities have a reputation for helping others improve their lives. But getting involved in other people's problems is not always a recipe for success. Protagonists tend to have a clear vision of what people can or should do in order to better themselves, but not everyone is ready to make those changes. If Protagonists push too hard, their loved ones may feel resentful or unfairly judged. And while this personality type is known for being insightful, even the wisest Protagonists may sometimes misread a situation or unwittingly give bad advice. People with this personality type are devoted altruists, ready to face slings and arrows in order to stand up for the people and ideas that they believe in. This strength of conviction bolsters Protagonists' innate leadership skills, particularly their ability to guide people to work together in service of the greater good. But their greatest gift might actually be leading by example. In their day-to-day lives, Protagonists reveal how seemingly ordinary situations can be handled with compassion, dedication, and care. For these personalities, even the smallest daily choices and actions – from how they spend their weekend to what they say to a coworker who is struggling – can become an opportunity to lead the way to a brighter future. |

⎨S T R E N G T H S⎬ Receptive ✵ Protagonists have strong opinions, but they are far from closed-minded. They recognise the importance of allowing others to express themselves fully. Even when Protagonists do not agree with someone, they recognise that person's right to voice their truth. Reliable ✵ Few things bother Protagonists more than the prospect of letting down a person or cause that they believe in. People with this personality type can be counted on to see their promises and responsibilities through – even when it is difficult to do so. Passionate ✵ Protagonists are far from being boring do-gooders. These types brim with interests, and they take great pleasure in pursuing their interests – whether that is exploring, artistry, physical training, or something else entirely. As a result, they rarely find themselves at a loss for something interesting to do. Altruistic ✵ These personalities are known for harbouring a deep desire to be a force for positive change. Protagonists genuinely believe that if they bring people together, they can do a world of good. Charismatic ✵ Determined and inspiring, Protagonists often find their way into leadership roles. Whether they are captain of their softball team or a leader on the world stage, they rarely lose sight of their main goal: To be of service to others. |
⎨W E A K N E S S E S⎬ Unrealistic ✵ Many Protagonists put pressure on themselves to right every wrong that they encounter. But no matter how hard these personalities strive, it just is not realistic for them to solve all of the world's problems. If they aren't careful, they can spread themselves too thin – and be left unable to help anyone. Overly idealistic ✵ Protagonists tend to have clear ideas about what is right and what is wrong. They often think that everyone shares these fundamental principles – or, at least, that everyone should share these principles. So it can come as a genuine shock to Protagonists when people violate their core values, such as truth or justice. Condescending ✵ People with this personality type enjoy teaching others, particularly about the causes and beliefs that matter so much to them. But, at times, Protagonists' attempts to "enlighten" others may come across as patronising – not the most effective strategy for persuading other people, unfortunately. Intense ✵ When it comes to self-improvement, Protagonists are rarely short on energy or determination. But they may not recognise that not everyone shares these qualities. At times, Protagonists may push others to make changes that they are not ready for – or simply are not interested in making in the first place. Overly empathetic ✵ Compassion is among this personality type's greatest strengths. But Protagonists have a tendency to take on other people's problems as their own – a habit that can leave them emotionally and physically exhausted. |
Sagittarius is the ninth astrological sign, which is associated with the constellation of the same name. It lies between Scorpius and Ophiucus to the west and Capricornus to the east. In Greek mythology, Sagittarius represents a centaur, a half human, half horse creature with the torso of a man and the body and four legs of a horse. The centaur is depicted as aiming an arrow at the heart of the neighbouring constellation Scorpio, represented by the red supergigant star Antares. Sometimes the centaur is wrongly identified as the centaur Chiron, represented by the constellation Centaurus. |

Born beneath a rare convergence of stars, Elodie is a vessel for celestial magic. Her power stems not only from light of the constellations, but from song - an ancient resonance that connects her voice to the cosmos. Through ancient words and melody, she communes with stars across time and distance, learning their secrets, dreams, and regrets. In return, they grant her glimpses of what has been, what could be, and what must not come to pass. Her vocal presence is as soft and far-reaching as starlight on snow. When she sings, her voice carries notes that shimmer in the air like luminous threads, and the stars above seem to pulsate or shift subtly in tune with her music. Her magic feels like standing on the edge of a cliff under the open night sky - beautiful, utterly disorienting, and strangely ancient. She has an aura of wisdom far beyond her years, knowing far more than she lets on. |
⎨FAE PHYSIOLOGY⎬
Though essentially humanoid in physical build, the Fae boast an unearthly grace and beauty that enhances their features. True Fae possess pointed ears and elongated canines, whereas Demi-Fae tend to inherit this ethereal beauty, but many have human ears and canines.Being immortal, the Fae are stronger, faster, and more agile than any human, with heightened senses and swift healing.
⎨SONG OF STARLIGHT⎬
At the heart of her power is the Song of Starlight, a sacred, hauntingly beautiful melody sung in an ancient, half-forgotten tongue. When she sings, she opens a bridge between her spirit and the stars.✵ Hymn of Echoes: She can sing to the stars to witness echoes of the past. Seeing what transpired in a place, hearing forgotten truths, or reliving key moments as if through dream-sight. ✵ Song of the Whispering Dawn: By attuning her voice to a specific star or constellation, she glimpses fragments of possible futures - Flashes of joy, ruin, decisions not yet made. The clarity and intensity depend on her emotional state, the brightness of the starlight, and her connection to the person or place. ✵ Harmony of Hearts: If she sings to someone under the light of the stars, her magic entwines their destinies briefly, allowing her to see their potential futures, or send them dreams that echo with warnings, hope, or unspoken love.
⎨STARLIGHT WIELDING⎬
While her foresight comes through communion with the stars via song and dreams, Elodie's combat magic is a precise, celestial force drawn directly from starlight, constellations, and cosmic energy. On the battlefield her powers bloom in silence as she channels radiant light directly from the source and wields it like a sword, an arrowhead, or even a shield. Her fighting style is elegant, cosmic, and unsettlingly calm. She barely moves, yet starlight strikes all around her, blinding her enemies and leaves them vulnerable. She defeats not with brute force, but celestial inevitability, like gravity, or time. Symbolically, she is a reminder that destiny cannot be outrun.✵ Starburst Halo: A radiant explosion of starlight pulsing from her core, blinding and staggering nearby enemies, interfering with dark magic, scrying, and enchantments. ✵ Constellation Forge: Tracing constellations in the air with her fingertips, glowing lines of light forming star sigils before her that unleashes her magic in various ways depending on the symbol. The Serpent: Launches a weaving blast of energy that coils around targets and constricts. The Archer: Summons a volley of energy arrows from above. The Ram: A frontal burst of force, like a meteor collision. ✵ Celestial Ward: Forms a shield of constellations around herself or an ally, deflecting spells and projectiles and deters shadow-based or necrotic forces through its brilliant light.
⎨WEAKNESSES & LIMITATIONS⎬
Even celestial power has its costs. Tied to ancient cycles, metaphysical rules, and the fragility of time, Elodie's connection to the stars is a burden as well as a gift.✵ Celestial Dependency: Her strength waxes and wanes with the starlight. Under a clouded sky, during an eclipse, or inside magically sealed places, her grasp on her powers weakens. Underground or inside stone structures, she cannot summon full constellation forms, only minor bursts of light. Her abilities are strongest under clear night skies, during astronomical alignments (equinoxes, solstices, full moons, meteor showers), or in high-altitude or liminal places like cliffs, ruins, or leyline crossings. ✵ Astral Fatigue: Drawing power from distant cosmic forces taxes her body and mind. Overuse leads to vertigo, nosebleeds, or joint pain from gravitational strain. Mentally, she can suffer from sensory dissociation (she may speak of things that haven't happened or forget the present entirely) for brief or longer periods of time depending on her strain. Lastly, she gets "Lightburn" when too much celestial energy passes through her, leaving scorched sigils or glowing fractures across her skin, especially on her hands and spine. |
