  • Description

    As with all his kind, Edward's Embrace was long and painful. In the first hours, the brown curls on his head fell off in large clumps, leaving behind a bald head. His youthful skin lost its healthy pallor, growing thin and wrinkly in some places, thick and scaly in others. Then followed the changes to the bone structure. His fingers grew longer, growing sharp talons in place of soft and pliable fingernails. His spine cracked and curved until his head was forced into a visible hunch. Soon, hard lumps started to grow beneath his skin, settling into unpleasant growths on his head and body, some the size of nickles, the others the size of a closed fist. And as he turned, he lost weight and turned sickly, his nose rotting from his face, face turning gaunt, his body thinning until it was little more than wiry muscle and bone.

    Nothing much has changed over the centuries. His talons are kept shorter for practical reasons, and he no longer hides away, seemingly unashamed of what he has become. His taste in clothes is old-fashioned by modern standards, with slacks paired up with button-up shirts, turtlenecks, and the occasional vest.
