Xailah Alptraum

I try to be pretty flexible as a roleplayer, but I do have my rules- and some exclusive to certain characters of mine. They are non-negotiable:

-Godmodding, and Metagaming. I only sometimes allow minor godmodding. Understand that my character is pretty low consent (nonsexually) you don't have to ask to try and do most things with her, but that does not mean you can do whatever you want with her. As far as metagaming goes, your character will only have as much information about mine, as she has chosen to tell (or what has been agreed upon). Nothing more. Extra information to grab may also be mentioned in narrative.

-OOC=IC and vice versa. Let's keep these two separate okay? Don't blur it. Don't get upset over something my character has done or thought, or at least keep it to yourself. Do not act possessively of me. Do not try to peruse an OOC relationship beyond friendship. If you overstep these clear boundaries I will cut all contact and block you without further warning.

-Violence. I'm fine with gore, combat, and violence so as long as it makes sense. Understand that if your character mindlessly attacks mine just because they can, expect for them to get their ass beat. Homegirl does not hold back if threatened. Few things regarding violence I will not allow to happen with my character:

>Dismemberment
>Death (near death is okay)
>Disfiguration

-Romance. I truly don't care for the genre. I DON'T do planned romances. Basically, I don't enjoy jumping into a scene knowing romance between characters is the end goal; it is preferred that all relationships (platonic or otherwise) develop naturally. Understand that Xailah does not (usually) have or reciprocate crushes. She's often confused by advancements 90% of the time. It is possible to start a "romance" with her, but it does take a lot of time time and is tricky- and generally highly unlikely, all things considered. On top of that, she is flighty and suffers from commitment issues, fidelity is not her strong point. If you want your character to attempt to pursue a romance with her, you should understand that all romantic gestures will be one-sided. Please do not try to force something OOC because it is what you want. I won't appreciate it, and my character especially wont. With Xailah, I will never do:

>Female romantic relationships. Xailah is a straight, demiromantic-asexual. She will never have an interest in female identifying or female-at-birth characters. One-sided crushes are fair game, but romantic feelings will never be reciprocated.
>Romantic relationships with furries/anthros/characters that primarily take an animalistic form. Crushes are fine, but they won't reciprocated.
>Characters that are too similar in personality/appearance. Other than the dynamic being completely boring to me, if there is one thing that never fails to freak me out, it's when two characters could pass as relatives. Just. No thank you. Once again, crushes are fine but there will not be reciprocation.
>Abusive/Toxic character relationships. These are fair game outside of romantic relationships and plots, but I really hate writing romantic relationships that are outright vile. Please don't try to press or spin things down this route.

-Sexual themes. Again, don't care for it. I'm fine if they are alluded to tastefully. I DON'T write smut, but I understand that suggestive or provocative themes can be fun. I do enjoy campy provocative/suggestive things! Just because my character (sometimes) does burlesque work, does not mean she is intimate or even remotely interested in being so, though she may be presented as being sensual (in a suggestive, but mostly nonsexual way). Really, my big rule with sexual themes is to just be tasteful, and be respectful. Don't be weird and sneak any kinks or fetishes in on me. Otherwise I'm pretty lenient. If you're really unsure about something, just ask.

I am a steampunk/goth/victorian aesthetic junkie and I really enjoy when they're mixed with supernatural themes. My favorite genres are horror and fantasy. For Xailah, I enjoy opposite dynamics with her. I like contrast, be it with upbringing, background, personality, preferences or aesthetics. She is meant to act as a temporary (or maybe permanent if circumstances are right) companion. Therefore it can be fun when other characters take to her.

Know that if you are interested in starting a scene with her, she cannot stay with your character forever (at least, not yet in her current development). There is a point where she has to return to her home world. However this does not mean they can never interact again, they can always meet again but it will have to be through a fluke (I don't care about specifics).

Also, she and Schrödinger come as a set, expect for him to be nearby because he's her best friend. Her pal. Her homeboy, her little rotten soldier.

Xailah is meant to be compatible to all settings and timelines. I don't typically do AU's with her (with the exception of one off-site forum), but they may be considered. Most scenes will fit into her canon timeline.

Some scenes I would be interested in are...

-Pretty much anything, shoot your ideas at me, I'm pretty flexible and happy to roleplay anything so long as it isn't anything weird, or breaching of my rules or the site rules (which should be a no-brainer). I'd honestly much rather help progress other people's plots and then soak up development along the way. This is a mutual endeavor!

-Xailah is taken as an apprentice/some sort of assistant.

-Accidentally summoning Xailah.

-Capture/Kidnapping of Xailah, not in a weird or kinky way. Give her a problem to solve.

-Chase scenes. What is she on the run for? Could be tied in with idea below.

-Classic horror/slasher trope where there is a danger on the loose and a group has to overcome it.

-Xail becomes someone, or somethings fixation/is taken and studied.

-Bonds between fellow cryptids, general oddlings, and misunderstood things that go bump in the night. If you're strange, you're in the club.

-Friends! Fiends! Partners in crime (yes even the law abiding do-gooders apply here)! Reasons to come back to worlds!

- Possible expansions to her family (blood or chosen), but I'm not super certain about this one. It will definitely have to be discussed.

-Someone to remove the damn chip in her head.

-Lost investigator teams up with Xailah for help.

-Burlesque/Circus to work for and employees to bond with. (Please, please don't get all weird OOC if our characters happen to be employees of the former, I'll stop writing with you in a heartbeat)

-Group heist baybeee!!

-THE WILD WILD WEST?!!

-An apocalypse?! Hell yeah! Pre or post, I don't care.

- You, you're the one from my dreams! In an unexplained phenomenon, YC and Xailah keep seeing each other in their dreams. The odd part? They're world's apart and haven't seen or met each other before... yet.

While I usually play her in original settings, there are a few fandom settings I would love to play her in too:

-Fable (preferably between the timeline of the second and third games)
-Bioshock
-The Quarry/Until Dawn
-Wolf Among Us
-Fallen London
-Fallout

While it is rare for me to do, I am not opposed to writing in fandoms with this character. She's meant to be flexible in all settings, timelines, and genres! So if you're interested in roleplaying in a fandom/canon setting, I'd be happy to discuss things with you!
