Vanator

Vanator Aucide belonged to a small secluded village that once stood at the center of a vast forest, entirely removed from the world which flourished outside it. As a young boy, Vanator witnessed the abduction of his sister and the murder of his parents by ravenous vampires before they razed his village to the ground. Miraculously, the boy escaped the same gruesome fate that befell his friends and family. The bloodied remains of his loved ones clutched firmly in his arms, he was found among the sea of corpses by followers of Puritatis, taken in and raised among them. However, he would never forget what had happened to his family that night and swore to deliver bloody vengeance one day upon those responsible.

He trained hard and was exceptionally proficient in combat, yet life was still quite hard for young Vanator growing up. Always an outcast among his peers, he fiercely protected a fragment of enchanted stone given to him by his sister and always wore it around his neck for safekeeping. Late at night, he could be heard talking to it as though some part of her still remained attached to it, a habit which would not make life any more bearable for the boy. Many years came to pass yet the rage and yearning for revenge never left his heart. His pain gave him a strong will and an irresistible stubbornness that would sometimes erupt into rage, which made him feared for his hunting prowess.
