  • Personality

    To those meeting Elàira for the first time she seems like a normal, pleasant young woman. Introducing herself as a travelling scholar, she's quiet and timid but also kind, helpful, and always polite. She cares greatly for children and the less-fortunate, and even though she despises violence she'll firmly stand up against injustice and abuse of power. People tend to quickly grow fond of her, but behind that inconspicuous exterior hides something much darker. A secret certain people would not hesitate to kill her for, and that had left her own hands stained with blood: Her soul does not belong to herself anymore. Many years ago Elàira had forged a pact with a powerful but malevolent False God, gaining unnatural powers in exchange for the highest price.

    The girl is physically quite weak but she does possess rather potent magical abilities, specialized in blood-, shadow-, and necromancy spells. Unfortunately these powers seem to take an excessive toll on her when she uses them too often, leaving her exhausted and hurting.

  • Appearance

    Elàira is a half elf woman in her mid twenties, but due to her elven heritage it's difficult to guess her age from her appearance alone. Her youthful face frames eyes that seem older than her years, and her slim and short frame makes her look almost fragile (an assumption that could hardly be further from the truth, as she is quite resilient and pain tolerant). She has long, white hair that is usually put in a braid that falls over her shoulder and her bright eyes are a light amethyst color. Her ears are pointy as well, making it easy to discern her race. She has a scar on her face, a straight cut that just barely misses her right eye, but she tries to keep it somewhat hidden by a few strands of her hair.

    As for her clothes, Elàira usually wears simple and comfortable travel attire. Her appearence is humble and clean, she wears neither jewelry nor any other kind of flashy adornments. One thing that stands out though is that her left arm is completely and carefully wrapped in bandages, from her elbow all the way up to her fingers. No skin is peaking through anywhere. Hidden beneath them is a hideous mark, a magical blight that spreads from a crystal grown into the back of her hand.

    Elàira has a familiar, a low-ranking demon bonded to her soul. He's an imp with the name of Agramalech (Aggron or Aggy for short) and he is sworn to protect and serve her. Aside from his true form he can freely shapeshift into a raven, rat, or spider, and he can turn invisible. He can speak as well as communicate telepathically with his mistress.
