Nell is a bubbly, outgoing teenager. She is eager to make new friends, and loves to help. To people who don’t know her, Nell can come across as ditzy and airheaded.

Under that cheery exterior, however, Nell is smart and down-to-earth. While she struggles with academics, she’s very emotionally intelligent. She acts silly as a defense mechanism. In her line of work - i.e. being a boba fide Magical Girl - she faces a lot of dangerous situations, and has learned that putting on her exited persona helps her function on a day-to-day basis. It’s a defense mechanism, albeit a rather unhealthy one.

Nell tends to forget to take care of herself. She wants nothing more than to feel needed by others, and becomes anxious when she feels that she’s not doing enough. It’s common for her to overwork herself doing her Magical Girl duties and neglect her “real” life. As a Magical Girl, she doesn’t like to share the spotlight, and works poorly with others.

When it comes to helping people, Nell believes in the ends justifying the means, which can make her come across as a little immoral. When not acting airheaded, she often is considered sneaky and manipulative. She’s not a bad person, but when her persona is dropped, sometimes she comes across as selfish. Despite this, her intentions are usually good.
