  • Appearance

    Before you stands a creature with the head of a black furred lion, spines out of its shoulders, a lion's tail and glowing red streaks of fur on an upright standing body, two tattered draconic looking wings. The eyes are blood red and glow. Hands have long claws that retract, looking almost like smaller scythe blades coming out of it's fingers. The area around him always seemed to have a feeling of uneasiness uneasy in this form it felt like one was walking into death's embrace.

    In his human form he appeared like an unusually tall man, deep red hair, grey eyes over unusually pale skin. He wore a black trench coat and work boots and jeans that were tattered. The aura from the other form was still there but it was only noticeable to those in-tune with the supernatural and was nowhere near as strong.

    First encountered in the mortal realms two-thousand two hundred years ago, people noted a being with a lion's head roaming and attempted to capture or intervene, the sole survivor was hung for murder, his friends found dead with what looked like knife wounds in their bodies.

    He was out of the world for five hundred years when he was next seen by a little girl who heard a roar that brought feelings of fear to her. The following morning the village drunk was found, a bottle melded into his skull and what looked like knife wounds in his chest.

    He was not seen for six hundred years when he finally resurfaced in a Japanese village, caught sucking the life from a young woman who had been sickly for years, her life ended that day along with any who interfered.

    A hundred years later he turned up in the budding secret society, frequented by both fae and mortals, the court of Tombs and killed the head of the budding society, raising the second in command and taking the place he wished of Fae Divinus, this is not public knowledge.

    He didn't turn up again in the public eye until he joined theTower of mages then later the Livilon city police force and coroner's office. Six months later the tomb of Aldek was discovered on the mortal plane and it was discovered he was the master of the tomb, none entered after that, the city of Asterilin rose around the tomb though he did not rule the city..

  • Unconfirmed incidents

    The first in modern times was early in medicinal knowledge a patient with an unknown malady was found dead, the smell of some sort of mint found in the air, their eyes staring straight ahead. The doctors were stumped.

    Several years later a teen who had an incurable painful disease was found dead under similar circumstances. It happened within a half-hour. A nurse heard him speaking as though delirious, confirming that he wished for the pain to end then ten minutes later his instruments went off as his life ended, no marks just a smell of some sort of mint in the air.

  • Explaination of him

    In the setting I made for him the fae are not like celtic belief, they are still creatures of their own whims. They belong to various courts, the court of the sun, the court of heart, the court of death, the court of nature, and the court of mortals. A death Leonus is a being beholden to the court of Death, eternal and undying, striking one down outside of the plane of fae will only return them to that plane forcefully. Death Leonus are generally considered creatures of vengeance but also creatures of mercy. They are usually summoned from the Fae plane for the purpose of vengeance, a heavy cost associated with their summoning for this purpose. When they come over on their own or are welcomed by someone more in tune with the supernatural, they tend to kill those who it would be kinder to kill than to leave alive, those they sense are too sick to survive without there ending up greater harm to the person. The rest of the court are generally bound to a family line or a specific place and have a purpose. The Leonus though are not bound and tend not to leave the plane of Fae without a summon or a welcome into the plane of mortals.
