In the world of secret societies, few are as well-known, yet simultaneously as little-known, yet simultaneously as desired as SNCTM. Rooms, halls, stages for the many and varied displays of BDSM, for Netflix and Chill, and everything in between to both titillate and educate; sex of all kinds and varieties are on offer, with monthly special occasions such as the Masquerade, and extra-special events, set aside as "Soirées". The offerings are many, the refreshment varied, the company eclectic. What its members truly value, however, is its secrecy of membership. They don't hide who they are; they have a web site, some members even talk--just a little--about what really goes on, and even away from SNCTM the keen-eyed can see their emblem on cards, on rings, on flesh. There are chapters in many major cities around the world; Manhattan, Los Angeles, Kiev, Sydney, and more.
Diana Prince helped found SNCTM, and with careful selection of others, SNCTM is one of the very, very few such clubs that can boast one-hundred-percent privacy of membership.
The only members that are "out" are the ones who made the choice themselves, often to be spokespeople, or perhaps something like ambassadors. No one who wants to keep their membership secret has ever had anything to fear. When members took offense with one another, no one "outed" anyone else. When a founding member was expelled and banned, even he refused to reveal any members. It's not fear that keeps people quiet; SNCTM goes out of its way to ensure their members and occasional guests have only the most exquisite of experiences and have a very good relationship with the founding members and event organizers. It's not even mutual respect, though there is very much of that. It's a shared desire for freedom.
While SNCTM offers sexual freedom in ways no other "club" can even come close, and while that is what everyone enjoys, it also offers personal freedom. A member doesn't have to "be" anyone. Their life waits outside; SNCTM is, well--a sanctum. Only those who desire personal and sexual freedom are members; they need that freedom more than they can really express. It is not, however, open to just anyone.
Movie stars at the height of their careers, politicians about to make a run for a higher office, business executives who are about to snag a very high-profile contract,
the absurdly rich and/or well-connected--those are to whom SNCTM's doors are open. Members occasionally sponsor a would-be member or couple, and there are often events guests are allowed and even encouraged to attend and enjoy. Actual membership is valued so highly, even some A-list actors, top-tier politicians, and famous business moguls have been refused. It isn't enough to have money, though that is almost a requirement. It isn't enough to be connected to a member, though that's very much the best way they can be able to apply for membership. There is a certain character, a certain paradigm, that has to reflect what SNCTM stands for, what it offers, and what it asks.
To attend SNCTM one must first apply. All submissions are confidential and reviewed solely by a select group of top-tier members of good standing known as the Dominus Council for the purpose of maintaining the highest calibre of guests at their events. If an applicant meets SNCTM's professional, reputational, and aesthetic criteria the applicant will be granted the status of Approved Non-Member and contacted directly. The elite few who are granted access are given the title of Novitiate, or Approved Non-Member. As the newest participant the Novitiate is permitted to purchase tickets and VIP tables for any SNCTM event, worldwide. Novitiates are encouraged to taste the fruits and explore boundaries. The Novitiate will soon find there is much more beyond the next doors.
The background checks are thorough, complete medical records a must, and even then, out of many, many applications each year, very, very few are actually accepted. There are often periods where no new members are accepted for years.
Freedom, in all its forms, is valued that highly. The need for secrecy, for the protection of members, is that sacrosanct. The slightest risk, barely considered to be existing at all, is found and excised that quickly.
DisclaimerSNCTM is a real organization, offering everything as mentioned, and are just as stringent as mentioned. All I've done to fictionalize them is alter a surprisingly-low number of details beside moving them across town. I do this not to rip off SNCTM, nor to parody them, but to honor them and their goals, to explore such through the framework of story.
