Beneath that pretty face of hers lies a secret that's messy. On the surface, Harlowe seems like the sweetest girl you could meet on the streets. Beautiful, compassionate, smart and oh, so cunning. She's got the face of and angel, but behind that exterior, she holds the key to a powerful and old, Norse magic. The blood of witches that go on for generations, past the Salem witch trials pushes through her veins and she uses it to her advantage.

No, Harlowe wouldn't hurt a soul unless it's to defend herself, but she's trained in her magic and in languages that not many in the world can read and decipher... She can read grimoires that are in lost dialect and has helped in many supernatural cases that deal with old deities and demi-gods lost in history.

The witch may have knowledge and access to an ancient type of magic, but this doesn't mean she's all powerful. She's far from it, but Harlowe is good at her craft. She can put together her own spells, help aid others in their ailments and journeys. She's what some would call a healer of sorts. But as much good as she can do, she can do just as much damage when she needs to.

Harlowe's upbringing is like most other children's. She grew up in a loving home; a family supportive of her decision to follow her ancestors and master the craft of magic and deciphering languages. They weren't rich, but they weren't poor, either. Her family lived relatively comfortable in the big city of Denver, Colorado before moving further to the east, all the way to New York City. That's when her career as a model really flourished. For the most part, Harlowe lived her life relatively normally. She went to school, graduated with honors, started college to major Historian for the ancient times. Her life only quickly turned sour when her family ran into something Harlowe didn't believe existed anymore.

Witch Hunters.

You see, Harlowe's mother never did really get into the practice of magic. Her grandmother is the one that taught Harlowe everything she knew. This lead her parents to their demise and Harlowe's quick escape into hiding. She took what savings she had from her modeling jobs and retreated across the country to California, where she took on a new identity. You see, her real name isn't Harlowe at all. Her birth name was Hilda Gudrun.

With what little savings she had left after fleeing across the country, she paid for a fake ID, Social Security number, and passport. A botched resume that was backed by hackers paid to re-establish some form of college credit in the arts of language. After all, she excels in that as well. Perhaps, a talent to speak any she comes across, but that's mainly the magic talking. It took Harlowe over two years to feel 'safe' and confident in her ability to protect herself against 'witch hunters'. In fact....

She's ready for them. She's going to find them.
