It's the start of the Roaring Twenties. The war is over, the economy has never been better. Money is flowing, music is evolving, committing to recordings, and the leaps and bounds technology made over the past decade are finally trickling down to the middle class. High spirits, liquor flowing--

Oops, maybe not that. It's 1920, and the Eighteenth Amendment to the (always immutable, never-changing) United States Constitution has just been passed. Prohibition is in full swing, alcohol is outlawed, the USA is free from the claws of sin! And the smuggling ring is in full force. With racism running high, and an innocent little doctor with a license to prescribe medical alcohol.

That's not even getting into the werewolves skulking the city's borders by moonlight, and vampires infesting your local illegal basement speakeasy.

Dr. Gadhavi holds a slate and offices in the back of C. Ward's New Corner Drug Store and Apothecary. Operating out of a little alley back-entrance, with just enough room for a broomcloset office, and a comfortable little examination room. In exchange for recommending C. Ward's for all medicinal needs and writing their prescriptions on C. Ward's prescription blanks, they're allowed a significantly reduced boarding fee.

The good doctor does house calls (noted dutifully on a slate displayed in the druggist's, so callers will know when they return), as well as consultations and private surgeries at the local hospital. Their area of expertise, of course, is consulting with veterans and others suffering from physical disabilities in creating limb enhancements.
