    Razor Claws

    By raking his claws over stone, steel, or another hard surface, the Ahroun hones them to razor sharpness. Either a cat- or bear-spirit teaches this Gift.

    System: The player spends on Rage point, and the Ahroun takes a full turn sharpening her claws. All claw attacks do two additional dice of damage and are made at -1 difficulty for the rest of the scene.

    Cat Claws

    by calling on his heritage, a Bastet in Homid or Sokto form can unsheathe his claws and attack as if he was in beast-form. Inherit to all Bastet aside from Swara.

    System: A simple Constitution + Primal Urge roll (difficulty 6) brings out a cat's claws. They remain out as long as he cares to keep them, but look damned peculiar to mortals and hurt to use.

    Lick Wounds

    This power heals normal or aggravated wounds, but can not be used on oneself. This gift may be used as many times as the player wants, but each healing "lick: costs another Gnosis point. Bear in mind that certain substances can still harm the healer - such as silver or supernatural poisons.

    Speech of the World

    This Gift allows Gaia’s warriors to read and wield the spirit of speech, bypassing the need to learn different languages and dialects. The Basteet may speak and understand any human language she encounters, though she speaks with an obvious accent, marking her as an outsider. Speech of the World doesn’t convey literacy, nor is it an encyclopedia of cultural information. An ancestor-spirit teaches this Gift.

    System: The player rolls Intelligence + Academics (difficulty 7). The effect lasts for one scene.

    Tongues

    This Gift allows the user to read or write any human language encountered, no matter how ancient or obscure. Galliards often use this Gift when translating ancient texts to revive old legends or compose new songs for moots. This Gift is taught by a Raven-spirit.

    System: After spending one Willpower point, the player rolls her Intelligence + Linguistics. The obscurity and relative age of the language determines the difficulty. A common modern language such as Spanish is difficulty 4. An ancient and obscure tongue, such as Etruscan, would be difficulty 10. The number of successes determines the character’s fluency with the language.

    2 Point Merit

    For either gender, this merit means the same thing: You're an intrinsically nice person, and you genuinely care about your fellows. Depending upon the setting, werecats and other Kin (both human and cat) tend to like you and confide in you. Even feline Bastet may approach you in a friendly manner; something about you just seems trustworthy and inviting. Take an extra die on all Social rolls involving interaction with Bastet or Kinfolk.

    Common Sense
    1 Point Merit

    You have a significant amount of practical, everyday wisdom. Whenever you are about to do something contrary to common sense, the Storyteller should alert you to how your potential action might violate practicality. This is an ideal Merit if you are a novice player because it allows you to receive advice from the Storyteller concerning what you can and cannot do, and (even more importantly) what you should and should not do.

    Acute Senses
    1 Point Merit

    You have exceptionally sharp hearing, smell, vision or taste. The difficulties of all dice rolls that relate to the sense in question (e.g., Perception + Awareness to hear a faint noise, taste poison in food or see an oncoming attacker) are decreased by two.

    Fast Learner
    3 Point Merit

    You learn very quickly, and pick up on new things faster than most do. Your +learns are completed faster than usual.

    Metamorph
    6 Point Merit

    You find it extremely easy to change forms and can do it even in your sleep. You do not need to roll to shift forms (you are considered to have an automatic five successes); nor do you need to spend a Rage point to instantly assume a desired form. In addition, if you are ever knocked unconscious (due to wounds, etc.), you can make a roll of Wits + Primal-Urge, difficulty 8, to assume whatever form you wish instead of reverting to your breed form.

    You have an unreasonable dislike of a certain thing. This may be an animal, a class of person, a color, a situation or just about anything else. The difficulties of all dice rolls involving the subject are increased by two. Note that some dislikes may be too trivial to be reflected here — a dislike of left-handed Lithuanian plumbers or tissue paper, for instance, will have little effect on play in most chronicles. The Storyteller is the final arbiter on what you can pick to dislike.

    You are distinctly ill at ease when dealing with people and try to avoid social situations whenever possible. The difficulties of all rolls concerned with social interactions are increased by one; the difficulties of any rolls made while you are the center of attention are increased by two. Don't expect your character to make a public speech.

    Forced Transformation
    1-4 point Flaw

    Some event or condition forces you to shapeshift uncontrollably. You must spend a Willpower point each turn to resist the change. Once changed, you cannot shift back until the condition forcing the change has passed.

    Adekyee

    Meaning "dawn" in Akan - it is the name of Macharius' spear. Gifted to him by his Kuasha after finishing his Rite of Passage as a fully fledged Bastet, it has been his most trusted tool of use since. Being refurbished several times over the years has kept the weapon in good condition. Like it's namesake, the spear can alight, using his rage as fuel for the spears fire.

    Small Notebook

    A small brown notebook bearing the Khara insignia on the front cover. It is completely written in Bastet glyphs, meaning only other Bastet can read it.

    Standard Clothing

    Being a Fera, clothing is not a luxury Macharius can enjoy. He wears a simple beige long sleeved jerkin with and string tied trousers. This is substituted for a long sleeved polo and black slim trim jeans in a modern setting. This is the only outfit he has spiritually bonded to himself, meaning its the only one that repairs itself when his cloths inevitably tear or fall off when shifting. Armor isn't a necessity for Fera, their regeneration is simply more effective in terms of movement and stealth.
