    Irikah is a soldier through and through.

    She was trained as a samurai to serve a noble lord. The lord was not so honorable. When he ordered her to kill a political opponent, her brother, Toriaka, also a samurai for the same lord, murdered their lord to prevent her from following his orders without question. Although the noble houses secretly agreed with their actions, they were exiled (rather than executed) from their homeland. Three years, they traveled Tian Xia as ronin, Toriaka, Kaoru, and Irikah became sworn brothers and sisters.

    They made friends with the elves of the Jinin forest, and learned about the enslavement of those in Shokuro - a neighbouring nation just south to the border of Jinin. They rallied the farmers and peasants of Shokuro, and led a successful revolt against the Ling Shen army, the most powerful succession state of the great Lung Wa empire. Toriaka was their shogun, while Kaoru and Irikah fought for and helped liberate the nation as generals in the war - but not without cost. When advised of an assassination attempt on Toriaka - by Kaoru - she confronted and killed her brother for the sake of ending the war. Toriaka would inform her that Kaoru had been framed, after the fact.

    The war ended, but it would never end for her. No longer able to remain in the land where she murdered her own brother, she fled, traveling for the next 40 years, and being called to be a champion of the god of self-perfection. The war had exposed some very glaring weaknesses, that she couldn't reconcile. Irori gave her the opportunity to do better.

    10 years ago, she learned that she was dying of a terminal illness of the lungs. She's been magically healed, but it has always come back. She has delayed the deterioration of her health through her training, but she knows she is near the end of her life. She continues to confront the implications of her illness, as a champion of her deity, trying to reconcile her faith, her health, and her mistakes.

    Irikah hails from Minkai. She is a half-elf with fair skin and long straight black hair, which is usually kept in a long braid, worn around her neck - typical of followers of Irori.
    She is tall, lean, and athletic. She looks like a champion of a god of self-perfection, but rarely uses her physical prowess to impose her will on others. She holds herself to the highest standard possible at all times, this includes her composure and posture. However, understanding that her height is often seen as a challenge, she would sit or lean against walls, tables, shelves to reduce her size when talking to friends and those who she hopes to connect with meaningfully.
