Because, though killing that prince for power... She loved him. But sirens and human men can't be together... It just can't be. She had to force herself not to love him. The only thing that she could do. She can't fall in love! It's a boring and useless thing... She doesn't need it.

Now having her internal beauty, the princess made herself even stronger by flawing her siren powers, naturally already knowing dark magic.
