Baking has many meanings, and has been, for centuries, a way for people to show they care for one another. It brings families together, it passes on traditions, and for some; it's an outlet. It's always been the case with Lorelei's Grandmother, Yvette. A sweet woman who always had a way of lighting up the life of everyone she was around. Lorelei was no exception, spending most of her adolescence baking and learning the ins and outs of Yvette's recipes. The darkest time of her life came in the form of when her grandmother passed. Taken all too soon as far as Lori was concerned. She continues the tradition, not for Yvette's sake, but for her own. A special way to keep the memory alive.
