Cináed mac Lachlan, known to his friends as Keen, was born in the Scottish highlands in the year 187 AD to human parents. His childhood was short-lived, however, as tragedy struck when he was just a baby. His birth parents were killed by a pair of Wulvers, a couple seeking revenge for a hunter who had invaded their den. The Wulvers found and killed the hunter and his wife in a fit of rage, but when they heard the baby's cries, they couldn't bring themselves to leave him behind, not when they have been unable to have pups of their own. So, they took him with them, and he was raised in the world of wolves, never knowing his true heritage.
When confronted with the information, they did hide it any longer. He was old enough now and they could protect him from the truth no longer. They explained through the pain knowing that their son might shun him for it.
With little strength left, Keen's Wulver parents looked at him with a look of trust and promise, and then they both bit into each side of his shoulder, imbuing him with the power of both of their ancient races. For the first time in his life, Keen felt the power of the Wulver coursing through his veins. He was no longer a mere human, but a Lycan, a Wulver, like his parents before him.
Cináed's transformation into a Wulver was both a blessing and a curse. For the first time in his life, he felt the raw power of his true form coursing through his veins, and he reveled in it. He roamed the wilds of Scotland, hunting and experiencing freedom he never knew was possible. But he also struggled with the knowledge that his human life was forever behind him. He thought he would never again be able to connect with humans in the same way, and the thought of that isolation weighed heavily on him.
After many years of wandering, Keen eventually stumbled upon a clan of humans living in the Shetland Islands. The people were wary of him at first, but his natural charisma and strength of character won them over. He soon became a valued member of their community, using his powers to protect them from raiders and other threats.
He was reluctant to accept this mantle of leadership at first. He had always seen himself as a lone wolf, a creature of the wilds. But as time passed, he grew to love the people of Shetland as his own. He became their chieftain, leading them through countless trials and tribulations, always putting their safety above his own.
In the harsh wilderness of Ireland, Cináed mac Lachlan, a powerful Wulver chieftain from Scotland, sensed that war was coming. He had ventured into Ireland seeking to expand his territory, but he soon encountered two brothers, Kheelan and Kieran O'Clery, who led a small human clan and were prepared to defend their land.
As he lay wounded on the ground, Cináed felt a sense of excitement. He had always felt alone as the last known werewolf, but the O'Clery brothers fought in perfect harmony, anticipating each other's every move. Over the years, the three leaders met on several occasions, building trust and respect for one another.
When the English invaded, the Trio devised a plan to repel them. Kheelan and Kieran led their clan to the Scottish Highlands, fortified their borders, and set traps to surprise the enemy. The Trio fought with all their might, overwhelming the English troops and defending their lands.
Cináed mac Lachlan had never been one to shy away from a fight. Even as a young boy growing up in the wilds of Scotland, he had always relished the challenge of testing his strength and skill against others. It was this love of battle that had ultimately led him to join the elite Raiders, a group of soldiers tasked with carrying out covert missions behind enemy lines during World War II.
Their success on their first mission together had earned them the respect of their fellow Raiders, but it was their bond that truly set them apart. Despite coming from vastly different backgrounds, the O'Clery twins and Cináed were united by a shared sense of purpose and a deep understanding of the value of loyalty.
But it was Rezso who truly captured Cináed's attention. The ancient Therian's quiet strength and unwavering loyalty to his pack and friends were inspiring, and Cináed found himself drawn to Rezso's vast knowledge of history and culture. As they traveled across Europe together, fighting side by side against the Nazi threat, Cináed began to understand the true depth of Rezso's wisdom and experience.
