Selina

Selina is a member of a seaslug-like deep sea species known as a Seadweller. A yet unknown, secretive race of seafolk that live in a society deep in the ocean. Though their bodies are accustomed to the deep sea they can handle the lower pressures of the higher sea just fine and are even capable of coming onto dry land! their bodies come in many shapes and sizes, but you'll commonly see they have a wavey headpiece that partially covers their eyes which extends down their bodies and forms into a tail. They have four antenna, on the tops of their heads and on the sides. These antenna are able to pick up vibrations and light and color, effectively giving them unique 360 vision. While they can't see light as sharply as humans, their built-in vibration sense more than makes up for it.

Seadwelers have no eyes to speak of, having only a featureless face aside from a mouth, though with their faces usually covered you'd not often see that very clearly. Seadwellers are a quiet race of folk who live in a society isolated from the rest of the world. Their civilization is hidden through a series of deep sea tunnels and cave systems that span a great distance, their settlements and cities built within massive expanses of open spaces. Though often enough they may leave these settlements and explore the open ocean, settling their curiosities.

Selina is a young Seadweller who enjoys spending a lot of time in the open ocean, particularly higher up closer towards the surface. She is a curious lady who often gets curious of human folk, a dangerous curiosity that often brings her too close to contact. While it's not a taboo to her people, it is not a normal thing to be so curious of life above the sea, and yet she feels drawn to it. This can be a dangerous thing to her, as she is ignorant to the life of human kind and knows little of their norms. Though she's learned bits of their language from spying on them, her anatomical differences has made it difficult for her to learn to speak it, though it should be possible for her to do so.

To put things simply, she is a common young seadweller who may be too dangerously curious of those who live outside the sea, bringing her close to the ocean's surface and close to dry land often. She enjoys following ships or watching the beach from a rocky shore.

Selina is bubbly and kind and on land sort of clumsy. She doesn't always knows what's going on but is happy to play along regardless. She's very curiosity driven. She's not stupid but she certainly doesn't act smart. She's happy to meet new people and is perhaps a little too outwardly trusting of others. She knows the difference between right and wrong but might not pick out a bad person in a crowd especially if they act so kindly to her.

In essence she's smart enough to pick up on things and realize mistakes and context but it might also be a little too easy to take advantage of her curiosity and ignorance.
