Some Background

Lori grew up in a suburban home in a middle-class neighborhood near Boston. She was the younger of two daughters, and was mostly happy until around age 8. It was then her parents started arguing and fighting.

When she was 10 her father moved out of the house, and at age 12 her parents divorced. Lori had grown rebellious through the turmoil especially after her older sister Jessica ran away. Through her early teens, Lori was a roller coaster of emotions, getting into some trouble at school and with the law. But she made an effort to not step over the line too far as she went into high school. She managed to graduate but now she needed to work. She moved to California and attended a community college before she landed an office job through the occupation placements service. She has to work because she needs the money, but she dreams of being able to support herself through her musical talents someday.
