      "It wasn't hard to realize where the bard was, even when Geralt had his accute senses, he just knew, but Dandelion had to let him know clearly he was there by yelling, making Geralt to narrow his eyes a bit. His sight was focused on the griffin though, and as he kept on fighting it, he tried to keep an eye as well over his friend. He was close to catch the monster and end it when Jaskier's new scream had him lost his chance, fearing the bard had fallen down the mountain. "Jaskier!" He yelled, jumping towards the griffin and using all he had to end this quick. Distracting the creature with one of his signs, he manages to cut down its neck. The griffin crawls in pain as slowly and certainly would die, Geralt didn't have time for seeing it, he just ran towards the cliff and got rid of the babies as well on the way there.

      "Jaskier!" He yelled again, seeing him still alive and holding on by a thread, a branch he managed to cling to at the moment being. He didn't have much at hand to help the bard out, so he knelt and bent down, reaching a hand towards his friend, hoping he could grab it. "Come on, I'll pull you up!" He shouted, frowning."

        "Once again, let's leave one thing very clear. It's not the bard's fault that he tends to lure danger his way or that he's somehow the perfect target for monsters of all kinds, which has been occurring more often after he became friends with The Witcher. Not that he's complaining about having Geralt as his pretty much almost non-talkative friend, but—and because there's always a but—the monsters are more around ever since. The plus side of this friendship? Geralt can be a good friend, and he hasn't just saved him from monsters but also, and occasionally, from very angry husbands who just don't get that the bard is just an innocent ladies' pleaser. He's just spreading the love he has to share before it goes to waste. Besides, whether the Witcher admits it or not, he needs the bard as well. Otherwise, why would he go to get him back and apologize for abandoning him in the first place? Everything is forgiven, left in the past to never return, of course. Except for his dearest and most appreciative audience. He's gonna miss them, he definitely will.

        Soon, in what felt like forever for the desperate bard, Geralt was finished with his job with the griffin and his nasty babies and was now standing just above the bard, shouting his name at him again and telling him that he would pull him up. Jaskier opened his eyes and gazed up at Geralt in terror. "I'm gonna die!!" Dramatic much, aren't we? Or not! He was hanging by a thread, literally. The bard's heart was racing like a rollercoaster in his chest as he attempted to reach out to his friend with his free hand, frowning at the sensation of losing his grip on the branch he'd been grasping so tightly. "Geralt..." He wasn't even screaming anymore as the realization of his situation was falling down on him, and he thought the worst could happen.        "
