He is witty and wicked smart with seemingly little patience for anything but the thrill of chasing a man to bag or something new to feel for the night. Looking deeper, he is very sentimental and kind (not nice), patient when it really matters, and surprisingly romantic. The friends he is close with will be as familiar with this part of him as they are his wild side.

    Alex was born in Montreat and lived much of his life there. He soaked in all that the city could offer him, fancying himself a well-rounded and accomplished student and young adult. He is most certainly a "people person", finding himself drawn to all kind of different social circles and, more impressively, managing to fit rather seamlessly into almost every one of them. He thrives around others, something that led him to be a bit of a pushover when he was young and just starting college. This, of course, led to some not so great situations, most especially in his dating life.

    He knew from early on that he was attracted to men and he will joke that the first crush he ever had was a Disney prince when he was six years old. This was always a point of contention within his more traditional extended family, but his parents never seemed to care. Alex was their only son, who he loved was no matter to them. Still, Alex didn't date until he started college. His first relationship was with a man about nine years older than he was. Alex was so smitten that he did not notice the red flags that should have stopped him in his tracks. He moved in with his boyfriend during his sophomore year. The relationship quickly turned sour as Alain proved to be manipulative, violent, and possessive. Alex was isolated from his friends and family, depressed, and spiraling. It was around the end of the year when Alex met a charismatic hockey player named Maël. Maël never directly helped Alex leave Alain, but he credits him with being the one who helped the most. With Maël's support, Alex was able to leave Alain for good (but not without first fighting back and giving him a taste of his own medicine). From that point on, Alex vowed to never let anyone put him in the same position Alain did. So far though, while he has held true to his word, he’d not been in a relationship since, instead preferring hookups and casual sex to something serious.

    Alex currently works a 9-5 office job as a translator in Montreal and lives in a two-bedroom apartment with a roommate, an old lesbian woman who is a strange mix of eccentricity, sunshine, and more bitterness than a bad cup of coffee. He’s lucky if she manages to remember he exists half the time, but that is just the way he likes it.

    • Clothing Style: Lots of flowing, open shirts and dress slacks. Tends to go with a higher waist cut in pants and is not afraid of prints. He still wears clothes that are decidedly masculine but they may have a feminine touch or two.
