  • Backstory

    The desert Kingdom of Gneab is a land of monsters. Orcs, gnolls, goblinoids, and more all call the place home, and to them, people (humans, elves, and the like) are all considered dangerous invaders who threaten their way of life. The Hobgoblin King Vo'Gneab enforces a patriarchal and theocratic rule over his people, demanding the worship of the Goddess of Magic, Destruction, and Invention; Hecate. He's also quite possessive over his many wives, a harem of the most desired women in all of his lands. Each of them is provided the Kingdom's most capable education in magic, war, and piety; as a group they are known as the Harem-Knights.
    Myx is one of these Harem-Knights, her marriage to the King arranged when her lands were conquered by his armies. For a long time the goblin tribes of Croi were considered unbefitting of citizenship, but Myx being brought into the harem marked a change in that stance, as the tribes became baronies under Vo'Gneab's rule.
    These days, Myx's routine generally consists of enforcing the king's rule in special operations demanded by his court, often with the help of her sister-wives or her riding dog. As she reaches the later years of a the typical goblin lifespan however, she finds herself more and more sympathetic to the people her job puts her at odds against. She never before questioned the prejudices of her Kingdom, but as empathy takes root, she grows ever more curious about the lands of Men.
