    There are numerous phrases and personality types that would do well to describe Marisol. Some might embody her as an ‘intimidating girl’s girl’: the kind of woman you assume is judgemental and bitchy based on her appearance or how she looks at you, when in actuality she just carries herself confidently and has an unfortunate case of ‘resting bitch face’.

    Others would opt to point out she has big ‘mama duck’ vibes. Always the leader of the group who organises everything and makes sure each one of her ducklings is safe and happy. She’s the type of person who, upon seeing an individual being harassed at the bar or in a club, would approach them and pretend like they’re best friends to get them out of that situation, as well as making sure they get home without being followed.

    Then there’s the folks who would immediately claim that Marisol is a wild card. Someone who throws caution to the wind, lives every day like it's her last and is always willing to try things once. Bold and blunt in her approach to everything and everyone in her orbit. A true representation of a marmite personality: you either love her or you hate her, with no inbetween. At least where first impressions are concerned.

    It could easily be pointed out she is all of these, molded into one, and so much more. But Marisol would prefer to refer to herself as an extroverted enigma, someone people think they understand but will never truly know due to her unpredictability. But beneath it all, she is not as complex as she likes to make out. Hidden behind many lines of defense is a traumatised, broken woman that struggles to cope and chooses unhealthy mechanisms to distract herself from the pain of both the past and the present.

    Unshackled from the once certain future she had mapped out for herself, Marisol is lost and adrift in a vast ocean with no land in sight. All the dreams she once had have been abandoned, all the hopes she held onto so tightly have been let go. She has no idea who she is or what she wants out of life anymore, besides to exist in a numb state of neutrality so she doesn’t have to confront her trauma, flaws or mistakes. For the time being, it is just easier for her to get lost in temporary highs that give her a brief semblance of happiness, only to be left feeling empty in it's wake.

    In a single glance, there are two things that might capture someone’s attention more than anything else where Marisol’s physical appearance is concerned. The first being her rather unique shade of light sea-green eyes. Not just because of the striking colour, but because of the initial coldness that seems to radiate from them with each look.

    The second being her hair, which is a light hazelnut brown in colour. Each lock forms a loose curl that seems to bounce with each step she takes and gives her a somewhat wild appearance. She very rarely styles it, opting to leave it in its natural state.
