Neriah Blossom

The Ziz is a legendary, Biblical creature, born on the fifth day of creation, along side Leviathan, and just before Behemoth. The Ziz was made of the first winds to cross Earth, and so the Ziz takes the form of a giant bird-like creature. A beautiful, but terrifying creature, the Ziz was said to be so large that her wingspan would block out the sun, and when her feet would rest in her brothers ocean, her head would reach the Heavens, where the Ziz would delight God with her beautiful birdsong.


When the Ziz unfurls her wings, she protects the earth against the storms raging in the south. Without her protection, the winds would pummel and destroy the lands of earth. The Ziz is normally very careful and protective of her eggs. But once she noticed that one was diseased and rotten. She haphazardly knocked it from her lofty nest, where it fell to earth. It landed in a forest, where it crushed three hundred cedar trees and flooded sixty cities. Seeing the destruction, the Ziz became more cautious of her actions, and none of her eggs have fallen since.

As the world as evolved, so did the Ziz. She has learned the ways of the humans, and has taken on a human form. However, she does still have her forms.

Abilities;
Supernatural Senses:
The Ziz has incredible senses, far beyond any human, Angel or demon. The Ziz can sense any supernatural creature that is near, especially those that are of the avian family.

Supernatural Strength:
Ziz, like the other primordial beings, is indestructible. Although her human form may have limits, she cannot truly be harmed or killed. She is stronger than any other supernatural creature, and cannot be harmed by any weapon or force on Earth.

Supernatural Intelligence:
Ziz possesses a vast knowledge of the world, right down to the cure to cancer. This level of intelligence makes her blend flawlessly into any society, and makes finding her uniquely impossible.

Shapeshifting:
Ziz is a master of shapeshifting. Any contact with DNA allows the Ziz to take human form, and she is also able to learn and manipulate human thought.

Avian Control:
The ruler of the winds, Ziz has control of the skies, weather, storms, and anything that lives in the sky, flying supernaturals included. Anything that flies falls under the Ziz’s control, and is bonded to the Ziz, which includes a mind-link to all creatures.



Weaknesses
Magic:
The Ziz is vulnerable to magic, particularly dark magic, as she is a symbol for God, and a spell from a particularly powerful witch could temporarily subdue her.

Borax/Motor Oil:
While in human form, contact with the chemical compound that makes borax is extremely excruciating for the Ziz and burns her flesh. Hot oil would burn her wings.

Fire:
The Primordial beings are weak against an element of their brethren, and in the Ziz’s case, this is fire. Burning the Ziz, especially her wings, will cause immense damage to her, and she will need to recover in her natural element.

Decapitation:
The Ziz could be temporarily killed by chopping her head off. However, unless the head is being kept away from the body, it will reattach itself over time.

Being Kept From The Air:
The longer the Ziz is away from the sun and sky, the physically weaker her human form will become. The longer she is unable to fly, the more mentally weak she will become.

God:
This is the only way to truly kill the Ziz, as was God’s original plan.
