That's why the day he went crazy was a spectacle to everyone. Martin wasn’t Martin anymore. His usual lazy smirk had twisted into something feral, his eyes dark with hunger signifying something ancient and monstrous simmering beneath his skin. The students who once greeted him in the hall now ran for their lives, scrambling over desks and chairs as he stalked through the school with predatory ease. The air crackled with a force that didn’t belong here, something raw and dangerous, and Olivia knew if she didn’t act fast, someone was going to get seriously hurt.

She should have seen the signs. The tension in his jaw, the way his fingers twitched when he thought no one was looking, the quiet, unsteady breaths he took as if he was holding something back. She knew what he was. And she knew what he was capable of. But so did he. And now, he had lost the battle against it. Olivia moved quickly, stepping into his path with a confidence she didn’t entirely feel. She tilted her head, letting golden waves spill over one shoulder, her lips curling into a soft, knowing smile. The panic around them was deafening, but she let her voice cut through it like silk. "Baby," she cooed, slow and deliberate, the kind of voice that had always made him pause. "You look like you need me." His shoulders tensed, his head snapping toward her. For a moment, just a flicker, there was recognition in his eyes. Hesitation. Good.

She took a step closer, heart hammering in her chest, but her expression remained composed, light, teasing, like this was just another game between them. Her fingers ghosted over the collar of his jacket as she slipped the charm into his pocket, the faintest brush of magic curling against her skin as it settled into place. Martin growled lowly, a warning, his breath heavy and uneven. His hands twitched, but he didn’t stop her as she leaned in, her lips barely a breath away from his. Her eyes became more dangerous and predatory now that the charm was in place. "Shh," she whispered, drawing him into a kiss. And the second their lips met, the spell activated.

His body stiffened, his muscles locking in place. The raw power rolling off of him stuttered, faltering like a candle in the wind. Olivia didn’t stop. She deepened the kiss, drawing out the energy that still surged beneath his skin, sapping it away before it could fuel another rampage. It burned against her lips, raw and electric, but she swallowed it down, taking everything he had left. By the time she pulled away, Martin’s body had gone slack, held upright only by the immobilizing charm. His breath was shallow, but his eyes, now clear and now his, blinked at her in stunned silence. He was taken away by authorities soon after, never seen again by anyone in that school.
