Velissa Leiranth was born into the Ivory Spire—the bastion of arcane learning among the high elven realms. From a young age, she showed prodigious magical ability… and an equally dangerous tendency to question doctrine. She did not seek power. She sought truth. And truth, in the Spire, is rarely welcome.

She uncovered the existence of the Thorn Codex, a banned tome said to unravel the difference between spell and soul. After years of searching, she found it—and opened it. But knowledge comes at a cost.

Her magic turned inward, reshaping her connection to the Weave. Her spells began to reflect memories, emotions, and fears. Her dreams bled into reality. She was declared “tainted,” expelled, and erased from the Spire’s records.

Now, she lives as a self-appointed archivist of forgotten things—wandering kingdoms, rescuing cursed tomes, hunting lost languages, and exposing hidden histories. She is whispered of in both noble courts and smuggler dens:
