Mirakel

Irritating. Clingy. Envious
Mirakel is a sort of attention-deprived trickster, supposedly responsible for taming the more powerful beasts that occupy his lady's tower. Not that one would expect such an accomplishment from merely interacting with him. Mirakel is a lazy, ambitionless procrastinator that makes fun out of playing the role of a simpleton, causing accident and injury when asked to perform even the simplest of tasks.

Despite this, he remains under the apprenticeship of Witch Aelia, who dotes on his supposed power. Although Mirakel seems to hold her in high regard, he's quick to derail any topic where she's concerned, especially whenever they pertain to the witch's affections for Prince Aurumel. When Mirakel's own magic comes into question, he's humble on his best days and feigns cluelessness on his worst. As one can probably imagine, he doesn't have any friends.

The truth is, Mirakel's a warlock.

His patron bestowed Mira with a book only he can read, enabling him with the power to assert control over certain monsters that roam the land. Weaker, "trash mob" creatures are the easiest to control, while stronger monsters require a more intimate approach. Consumption of flesh, mixing one's DNA with Mira's own, helps him gain a better understanding of whatever monster he's facing, thus allowing him easier control over that species.

Side-effects included, depending on whatever species had been digested.

The other, ultimate downside to this ability is that it's slowly turning him into a monstrous abomination of his own design. In time, his patron intends to claim Mira as yet another pet in their growing menagerie.

Mirakel was designed with a classic JRPG-styled setting in mind. The story he was designed for follows a “(main character) gets reincarnated into an old video game and accidentally turns it into an otome” premise, and Mirakel in particular was made to follow something akin to a "yandere" trope. Not over-the-top, violent kind, but more on the scale of a pathetic, feral stray puppy. Clingy, jealous of everyone, thriving off crumbs of praise and needs to feel seen by the main character to feel alive. Desperate for a sense of belonging and would quietly sabotage others if it rewarded him with even a sliver of the protagonist’s attention. Even his moral compass is cast aside whenever the main character is concerned.
There's also the matter of Mira's powers. The side effects of consuming monsters and how doing so means the gradual merging of their physiology with his own. ie. the instinctual behaviors of animals... and their various mating rituals. It should go without saying that Mirakel has the potential to be rather intense in his methods of showing desire, but anything to this level would always be discussed ooc first!!
