    lazarus is able to heal from all wounds up to and including fatal injuries, with the exception of being unable to regrow limbs (but she can have them re-attached). healing requires energy, and lazarus's daily caloric needs range from twice to three times that of a normal human.
    coming back from the dead triggers episodes of derealization that last from anywhere ranging from a couple hours to multiple days, depending on how many times she's died.

    physical description...
    height: 5'11/180.3cm
    weight: 200lbs/90.7kg
    build: muscular, with broad shoulders and a flat chest. frequently mistaken for male. similar build to that of a heavyweight boxer.
    hair: snow-white, kept short to make it easier to fit under a hat or balaclava. always messy and mostly pushed back from her face due to a nervous habit of running her hands through it. when she hasn't died in a while, her hair begins growing in a pale blonde.
    scars: various. notable facial scars include horizontal scar across bridge of nose, and large scar above right eye, following hairline. notable body scars include jagged diagonal scars across left forearm and upper body (beginning from right shoulder and running across the chest) from an encounter with an anomaly with large claws.
    other details: x-rays reveal several occult necromantic sigils have been carved into her skeleton, most notably on the ribcage and spine. additionally, a unknown symbol - possibly the seal of a tartarean entity (demon) is tattooed on her upper back, just below her neck.

    trigger warnings: child (technically young teenager but i'm covering my bases here) death, mild gore (alluded to but not described in-depth)
    some of this can be discussed and changed depending on setting.
    childhood/resurrection/mercenary company
      - born and raised in rural russia by her type blue father (mikhail) alongside an adoptive twin sister (yelena), shot and killed in a hunting accident at 14.
      - mikhail kind of snapped and devoted himself to trying to bring her back, tried every necromantic ritual he could find until eventually one of them worked.
      - (the mix of various occult rituals to try and resurrect her is what's to blame for lazarus's regeneration - it's a reaction between types of magic that really weren't meant to be used together.)
      - tried to join the military at 18, learned that women weren't allowed to serve in frontline combat positions and instead joined a pmc out of spite.
      - mercenary company was hired by remnants of marshall, carter, and dark and ended up running afoul of the goc during a job when she was 23, leading to lazarus and her squadmates being captured.
      - most were handed over to law enforcement. however, in an attempt to save his own hide, the squad leader outed lazarus's regenerative properties to the goc.
      - the goc, who were currently in the middle of a cold war with the foundation and several other anomalous organizations, jumped at the chance to recruit a resurrecting type red. they offered lazarus a job in the physics division in exchange for her avoiding legal consequences. obviously, she took the job.

    goc/strike team 9269
      - lazarus did exceptionally well in physics, eventually being placed on strike team 9269, specializing in the neutralization of humanoid anomalies.
      - when lazarus was 27, the team leader of strike team 9269 was killed in action, and she was appointed to replace him.
      - unfortunately, on her first mission as team leader (a fairly bog-standard mission to neutralize a type green on the cusp of progressing to stage 4), she and her team stumbled upon an unknown anomaly they weren't prepared for. before they could figure out what to do about it, the foundation ambushed them.
      - lazarus could have escaped, but she chose to allow herself to be captured in order to let her squadmates escape.

    containment/release/psi-9
      - when the foundation discovered lazarus's regeneration, they stuck her with the object number scp-9784 and threw her into containment.
      - in containment, lazarus proved herself to be aggressive and a breach risk, frequently lashing out against security guards and researchers... although in her defense, considering that many of the foundation's tests revolved around trying to discover the limits of her regeneration, fighting back was only fair.
      - two years after lazarus's capture, the foundation and the goc came to an agreement to cease hostilities between them and focus on mutual enemies. one of the stipulations of this agreement was that all captured agents be returned to their organizations, and thus lazarus was returned to the goc.
      - unfortunately for lazarus, this was not the end of her dealings with the foundation. when the need arose for psi-9 to be reformed, lazarus was made its captain - justified by her superiors under the reasoning that spending two years in containment made lazarus uniquely suited to dealing with the foundation.
      - (lazarus herself is, of course, not particularly happy about this, but she keeps her mouth shut.)

    ◈ stoic and reserved, but makes it a point to get to know her squadmates and co-workers when she can.
    ◈ struggles to open up to others and has a habit of avoiding psychological evaluations. often refuses help when offered, prefers to deal with her post-resurrection derealization alone even though it's unpleasant.
    ◈ views her own life as cheap but goes out of her way to protect others when possible, even if it means taking a bullet for them.
    ◈ having spent several years as a goc agent (and before that, a mercenary), lazarus is unfazed by death and gore, and her regeneration often leads her to react to particularly nasty injuries with annoyance rather than horror.
    ◈ so used to being called lazarus that she sometimes takes a moment to recognize her real name.
