Zelnes

Zelnes stands at a short 3'1", and is a black-scaled kobold with many scars and damaged bits. One of his horns remains shattered from a past struggle, and scars of both claws and bites mark many areas across his entire body. The red of the scars creates a bold clash against his night-colored scales. They remain numerous enough that one has to wonder how the poor creature simple hadn't succumbed to whatever attacks he suffered.

To add to the coloration, Zelnes will often decorate himself in artful designs of paint across his face and limbs. These tend to be large swirling patterns, predominately red and white. While not always maintained, these are most likely to be present before a big hunt or important duty. His common outfit is a decently maintained set of leather and bone armor. A bird skull is attached to the belt holding his belongings at his waist, while a large bone-mask is worn during hunts. He has several other accessories, from leather boot-straps that were made to fit around his clawed feet, and necklaces of collected trinkets. Bands of string and feather woven together decorate all parts of his armor, and also are present along his tail. His claws, both on his hands and feet, are slightly longer than the average kobold, built to aid in climbing.

Zelnes exists as a strange balance of naive, childish behavior and lethal, intelligent hunter. Having spent almost half of his life in the wilds with his sister, he lacks many of the common understandings about socializing and civilization outside of the concepts he learned about in the years he spent with his clan. He's naive about many topics, not understand broad concepts such as love or work. However, when it comes to hunting, archery, botany, and other aspects of the wilderness, he is incredibly well-versed in all sorts of information.

Still, his misunderstanding about social concepts does not make him mean-spirited. He has a deep desire in his heart to help others, and believes that his research into wildlife will one day be used to help others through their own adventures outside of the towns. Bravery comes naturally despite his small stature, though in moments of intense pain or overwhelming stress, he can crumble before the aggressor. He also have an innate distrust of magic, having never witnessed it in his entire life, and fearing the consequences of its use (especially in cases of healing).

Might
Represents a character’s raw physical power, including their ability to lift, push, strike, and endure physical hardship. This trait influences feats of strength, melee combat, and the capacity to withstand physical damage.

Veil
Measures a character’s skill in moving unseen, detecting hidden threats, interpreting subtle cues, and perceiving the world’s nuances. It governs stealth, awareness, and the ability to read between the lines.

Fleet
Captures a character’s quickness, dexterity, and reflexes. This trait impacts running, dodging, acrobatics, and rapid responses in both combat and exploration.

Spirit
Reflects a character’s attunement to spiritual realms, their insight into the nature of souls, and their ability to interact with spirits or divine forces. It influences spiritual rituals, communication with ethereal beings, and resistance to spiritual harm.

Arcana
Represents a character’s knowledge, control, and innate power over magical forces. This trait governs spellcasting, magical research, and interactions with enchanted objects or phenomena.

Bond
Measures a character’s ability to forge relationships, inspire loyalty, and leverage social networks or communal resources. It affects persuasion, leadership, and the ability to call upon allies or favors.

Aegis
Defines a character’s moral fortitude and purity of spirit, representing their ability to resist corruption, temptation, and mental or magical influence. This trait is crucial for maintaining integrity in the face of dark forces.
