Dakkar Kemp

Dakkar has a sleder body with muscle like that of a swimmer. Time out at sea has him having tanned skin. He has close cut auburn hair with a goatee. He has a green eyes with one covered by an eyepatch. He has scars all over his body caused by burning, stabbing and slicing. The most noticable ones are the jagged scars from when he lost his flesh and blood arms. Now he various types of prosthetic arms. From one used for normal activities to ones that end in long clawed fingers that earned his epitaph. Due to being half sea elf he has gills that allow him to breathe underwater.

He wears simple clothes that allow for maximum movement. Usually he wears a leather vest with a white shirt that leaves the top button open. He keeps a red sash around his waste that lead into a pair of brown breaches and black boots.

Darkkar’s mother, Lyrill, was a sea-born elf who washed ashore after being gravely wounded in a battle with raiders from the depths. She was found and nursed back to health by Cassius Kemp, a traveling merchant with a modest cargo vessel. Kemp, as he preferred to be called, ferried goods between coastal towns, and with Lyrill’s affinity for the sea guiding his ship through storms and shifting tides, she became an invaluable part of his crew. Over time, their companionship grew into love, and Darkkar was born of that union.

From his earliest years, Darkkar displayed an unshakable bond with the ocean. He often had to be restrained from leaping overboard just to swim among the waves. When he was around 14 or 15, tragedy struck. His father’s ship was ambushed by pirates. The crew, untrained for battle, was overrun and the ship sank. Darkkar survived only because he could breathe underwater, but he was powerless to save his father from drowning, and his mother fell fighting to protect them. After days adrift, he was rescued by another merchant vessel and returned to his family home.

Fueled by grief and a thirst for vengeance, Darkkar spent every coin his father had left behind on combat training and commissioning a ship built for speed and naval warfare. By the time he turned 18, he had become a skilled sailor and fighter, earning a fearsome reputation as a relentless pirate hunter. His success, however, drew the wrath of one of the most feared pirate lords of the seas. In a fateful battle, his ship was surrounded by a fleet of pirate vessels. To save his crew from slaughter, Darkkar surrendered himself.

He was taken captive and tortured for months, losing an eye and both hands to the cruelty of his captors before being cast adrift, left to die. Fate intervened when his mother’s people, the sea elves, found him and nursed him back to health. Using ancient magic and their unmatched craftsmanship, they replaced his missing hands with enchanted prosthetics, each tailored for different tasks. After nearly two years of recovery, he returned stronger than ever.

Reuniting with his old crew, Darkkar used his connections and favors from his pirate-hunting days to improve his prosthetics further, commissioning powerful clawed hands for battle that earned him the infamous moniker “Ironclaw.” With his ship repaired and his resolve hardened, Darkkar set sail once again, determined to bring vengeance upon the pirate lord.
