Step Project start, people start arriving → Jensin's parents move to the island and are placed into Orange district. They are well-liked people, and eventually meet up and marry. Jensin is born! Yay! He's unfortunately a Gemini. VDay Jensin's father befriends a fellow doctor, Ian Pritchard, and becomes curious about his work. They work a bit in tandem. Scientist Rebellion → Jensin's life is mostly untouched by this, he's way too young to understand it. Funk Mafia is formed UG is formed → Jensin's parents wind up involved, though they're not high-ranking. Jensin falls under Pritchard's peculiar tutelage in order to hone his Vibe and try to curb his failing health. War of 99 → Kept safe in Orange, Jensin remains outside of this conflict, but he notices some of his friends have gone missing. Jensin ousts his parents from Orange for their involvement in Pritchard's work with the help of UG's leadership. Present → Jensin has a studio apartment and works security most days. He is excited to live and full of zest!

Moving to Step City was the sort of thing that Weston Geir had always wanted for his life: a grand prospect in a brand new world where he could make a name for himself. His love of science and medicine drove him there, as certainly a place like Step City would need all the capable medical professionals that it could garner. Placed into Orange, Weston would soon meet Senna Tallock, a fellow doctor and the woman who would soon become his wife.

They married, life continued, and they were surprised by a pregnancy that they decided to keep. Neither of them had expected to have children, but it was the sort of thing people did, and Step City would need a new generation to make it flourish, right? Jensin was born in May of x085, normal and perfectly healthy for a while. However, after VDay hit, Jensin’s general health began to decline over time. He was weaker, ate less, and failed to flourish like other young children his age.

It was a boon, then, when Weston’s friend, Ian Pritchard, mentioned his new work with children and the development of their Vibe. Intrigued, Weston and Senna agreed to aid in his research in hopes that Jensin might improve under Pritchard’s medicine and tutelage; Vibes were so new, and surely if everyone else grew stronger from them, then Jensin would, too.

And thus, Jensin grew. He remained sickly for a while, but he began to catch up with all the milestones of childhood. It seemed that whatever therapy that Pritchard employed Jensin with was working, and Jensin’s vibe was manifesting with song a bit earlier than average for documented children. Pritchard seemed confident in Jensin’s progress, assured by the fact that he’d had plenty of practice with a Vibe like Jensin’s, and perhaps Jensin’s Vibe was even more versatile than what he’d been working with already. Probably fine!

All was well until x099, of course, when shit hit the fan and Pritchard was executed for what amounted to crimes unforgivable and Jensin’s parents, who were involved in many of the illicit practices that Pritchard was, got away from the ordeal with their names mostly cleared. They were merely confused parents who were preyed on, after all, and they certainly weren’t in Pritchard’s pocket, happy to help him with whatever he needed.

Jensin, however, had a different experience. The last half-decade of his life had been increasingly traumatizing, especially as he learned about the extensiveness of his parents’ involvement. As the years went on and the divide between them increased, Jensin felt more and more like their crimes needed to come to light. With some encouragement from Xavier, Jensin confessed to UG’s newly appointed leadership with as much of a paper trail as he could muster, which led to his parents being ousted from Orange as Ditos. There they remain to this day, hopefully fucking off forever.

Now, Jensin is recovering from all of that bullshit! Most of his life is normal and he’s pretty happy to put a lot of it behind him, though some scars are slow to heal. His Vibe has finally manifested in a bright, powerful way, and that bastard Pritchard never really helped him at the end of the day. He’s so normal now, everyone! Literally so normal!
