Trishul Hanes

Trishul is a lovely woman in every sense of the word. She is tall and slim, leggy and long of limb. She is not totally without curves, but they are modest and rarely the focus of her admirer's attentions. The beauty's features are angular and striking, wide set expressive eyes perched between a slightly long but very pretty nose and full, heart shaped lips.

Her usual attire is a tiered skirt-each tier a different bright colour-that nearly reaches her ankles and a loose blue blouse with sleeves ending just before her elbows. Sometimes she will wear a Diklo headscarf, but only when the whim takes her and not often. On her feet she wears sandals or good strong shoes made for the trail.

Each earlobe has a golden ring and she wears loose bangles on each wrist. Typically, she wears rings on at least three fingers per hand. Trishul also ties coins into her hair, each from a different land or kingdom she has visited in her family's travels.

In all things Trishul conducts herself with true dignity. A sort of soft, understated pride that does not need to be loud or flashy to be known as soon as one lays eyes upon her. As a rule, she is a fair woman. No matter a person's background, if they treat her, her family, and her people well she will return that respect in full. When someone shows her bigotry or cruelty she rarely lashes out, instead giving them the bare minimum attention required and wasting no more time or thoughts on them.

Trishul has a deep respect and fascination for all things magical and inexplicable. Despite the common sterotype that Balval are superstitious and fear magic of all kinds, Trishul is actually well schooled and educated in her people's magical practices, and demonstrates a level of understanding for spellcraft that would make many wizards eager to take her on as apprentice.

Trishul is kind, and does not resort to violence of any sort unless no other alternative exists. Even then, she does not take a life unless it is needed to perserve her life or the life of another. As a woman who can speak to the dead, she understands the true value of a life.

Likewise, as a result of communicating with her dead ancestors, Trishul sometimes suffers from bouts of deep melancholy. Though she trusts and loves her family sometimes she wishes to merely be left alone until the deep sadness of the long dead and often persecuted have passed overhead like grey clouds.
