Talia's Starter ~ COMPLETED

Talia al Ghul discovers Jason Todd, nearly beaten to death, in a warehouse set to explode by the Joker. Jason and Batman had tracked the Joker to an abandoned building, hoping to apprehend him. However, the Joker successfully captures Todd after he becomes separated from the Caped Crusader.

Following whispers from the League of Shadows, Talia finds herself at the scene. Upon entering the building, she finds a battered Jason Todd, who is in a coma. Just then, Batman arrives, and Talia shouts, "We need to get him out of here! It's going to blow!" She and Bruce, who is carrying Jason, rush to Talia's vehicle parked outside the warehouse.

"I will take Jason. You need to go get Jack! He needs to be stopped! You HAVE to kill him..." she urges Bruce. "This won’t end otherwise."

Talia speeds away from the explosion as Batman attempts to track down the Joker. She realizes that Bruce lacks the killer instinct necessary to end a life, even when it might be justified. Her fingers check for a pulse, and she finds that Jason is barely alive; she hopes she's not too late. Talia calls her medical staff to prepare for an emergency surgery and to assist in Jason Todd's recovery.

Upon arriving at her remote hilltop home, Jason is taken in and prepped by the medical team. Unfortunately, the outcome is not what she had hoped for. Jason lies in bed, unresponsive and barely breathing, reliant on a breathing apparatus, resembling a permanent coma. The doctors suggest that she should allow him to pass away peacefully, but she refuses. Her father, Ra's al Ghul, is furious at the idea of aiding the enemy. Bane has offered to execute Jason peacefully. Meanwhile, Bruce was unable to capture Jack Napier (the Joker) in time and would never resort to killing him.



In Talia's mind, this situation is unfathomable. She is outraged that no one is willing to take action on behalf of Jason and deliver justice. Determined to save him, Talia decides to submerge Jason in the Lazarus Pit to revive him and turn him into a tool for retribution against the Joker. So, it was done. Jason Todd's body was placed in the Lazarus waters. His weight had withered away while he was in a coma.

Bubbles escape his lips, and his body begins to twitch. His eyes open wide beneath the minty-green surface, and Talia pulls him out. Jason is disoriented for several days, and she helps him recover both physically and mentally. The process is time-consuming, and gradually, Jason starts to remember those last moments.

A single cough sent the liquid out of his mouth and he stirred. He opened his eyes and real life began to bleed into focus and he glanced around at his new surroundings. "Where am I? Where's Joker? How did....". He couldn't seem to dictate which question he wanted answered first.

However he did see Talia which brought even more questions to mind. "Talia....? Wh....where's Ra's al-Ghul?"

In Talia's home, she swims in the Lazarus Pit to rejuvenate herself. It's a chemical pool of green fluid that has sustained her for 150 years of life. The Lazarus water heals wounds and injuries; it strengthens and adds vitality to the person. Talia's eyes reflect the hue of the pool.
