    High Lord: Tamlin
    Tamlin inherited a court of beauty and tradition—and allowed it to rot beneath the surface. Once associated with hope and rebirth, Spring under his rule became rigid and controlling, a place where protection blurred into possession and stagnation replaced renewal.

    Summer Court
    Domain: Seas, trade, light
    Nature: Cultured, open, politically astute
    High Lord: Tarquin
    Young, idealistic, and intelligent, Tarquin rules with transparency and trust. He believes in shared knowledge and mutual respect, though that openness has made him vulnerable in a world that often rewards secrecy and cruelty.

    Autumn Court

    High Lord: Beron

    Charismatic and brilliant, Helion presides over the greatest libraries and magical minds in Prythian. He rules through intellect rather than force, wielding truth and knowledge as his sharpest weapons.

    Night Court
    Domain: Dreams, darkness, hidden power
    Nature: Dual-faced, loyal, terrifying when provoked
    High Lord: Rhysand
    Rhysand maintains a carefully constructed mask of cruelty to protect what matters most. While the Hewn City embodies Night’s darkness, Velaris represents its heart. This is proof that power does not have to be brutal to be absolute.

    Dawn Court
    Domain: Healing, balance, restoration
    Nature: Gentle, underestimated, vital
    High Lord: Thesan
    Thesan rules quietly, focusing on preservation rather than conquest. The Dawn Court is home to Prythian’s greatest healers, and while rarely central to political conflict, it is indispensable in the aftermath of war.

To the outside world, Night Court and its High Lord are feared. It is whispered about in half-truths and sharpened into legend. Its shadows are mistaken for cruelty, its silence for malice. Yet beneath that reputation lies a court of staggering elegance and deliberate restraint, one that understands that true power does not need to announce itself.

    The Night Court is not kind, but it is loyal. It is not gentle, but protective. And for those who belong to it, those who are claimed by its stars and shadows, it is not a place of terror, but of fierce devotion and impossible beauty.

  • Illyria

    Carved into the brutal mountain ranges of the Night Court, Illyria is a land of thin air, jagged stone, and relentless weather. Snow clings to the peaks year-round, winds scream through the passes like living things, and the terrain itself seems designed to break the unworthy. Survival here is not assumed. It is only earned.

    The war camps are scattered across the mountains like scars: stone-built, fortified, functional. There is no excess. No ornamentation. Every structure exists for defense, training, or endurance. Barracks are cold. Training rings are blood-stained. The ground is hard-packed earth and rock, worn smooth by centuries of boots, blades, and wings beating against the sky.

    Illyria is home to the Illyrian warriors, Adriana among them. These warriors are bred for war, discipline, and flight. Children are trained early, molded with harsh expectations and little mercy. Strength is currency. Weakness is corrected or crushed. Tradition rules here with iron claws, and change comes slowly, often violently. Honor does exist, but it is sharp-edged and unforgiving.

    Flight dominates daily life. The sky is a battlefield, a proving ground, a place where rank is established and challenged. Wings are sacred, scarred, and sometimes broken. To fly is to belong. To be grounded is a punishment worse than pain. Yet beneath the brutality, Illyria is fiercely loyal to the Night Court. Its warriors are the backbone of its armies, the shield raised when Prythian bleeds. They do not fight for praise. They fight because this land forged them into something that can survive hell.
