  • Brief Overview

    Gwythyn is a rather meek woman who'd grown up farming wheat with her family. Born into serfdom, the world beyond the confines of her master's land was never of much speculation to her, since her fate was as sure as the others': she'd live and die on this land.
    Singled out as an old maid despite her rather obedient and mute nature, her family constantly remind her of the old adage of being fruitful and multiplying. As she is the only survivor of five children, the responsibility bears much weight on her shoulders. It is during the aftermath one of such discussion, when she leaves her home for a brisk walk out in the night, that she crosses paths with a malicious creature. Such is her fate, to bleed out and die on the very earth she'd work on day-in and day-out. Except... Except that she awakens, many moons later, tired, hungry, filthy, and more importantly, nowhere close to home.

  • Physical Description

    When human, Gwythyn is rather lean from her years of hard work on the field, and she hunches slightly due to her tall stature. Her face is usually hidden by her thick, frizzy red hair that she often wears loosely around her shoulders. She has soft, brown eyes which contrast starkly with her face's rather masculine features: a square jaw, a broad, pointed nose, and a heavy-set brow ridge. The bridge of her nose holds a smattering of freckles that runs onto her cheeks. It's rather hard to miss, as her skin is tan from years in the sun. She has scars trailing down her neck to her chest from the creature that mauled her.

    As a Lycan, her appearance varies:
    •When she hasn't fully shifted, her eyes are a gold-like yellow in colour, her nose and upper jaw elongate slightly to accommodate the length of her pointed teeth, her nails harden into claws, and she has significantly more body hair than usual, such as thick sideburns, back hair and tufts on the back of her hands. Her face also seems almost set in a permanent sneer from gaining more canine features. Her ears grow pointed, too.
    •When she has fully shifted, her pelt is a dark red, which tends to be inconvenient since it makes her stick out anywhere. She develops a wolf's head, with whiskers and jowls. Gwythyn will still walk on her hind legs, which have a higher heel and dew claws, but finds running more comfortable on all fours. Her figure is also a tad bulkier from the extra muscles on her frame that grant her more strength and speed.

    Due to having lived a rather confined and monotonous life, Gwythyn is rather naive. This is often paired with her skittishness when encountering new people or unusual things. She can, however, be quick to anger when she senses the wool is being pulled over her eyes or that she is being made fun of. Despite all this, if she feels comfortable and at ease with someone, Gwythyn will quietly give them her undying loyalty.

    She feels extremely out of her depth when it comes to questions of romance, especially since her parents attempted to pair her up with men from her village who usually ended up courting others. The topic is usually addressed with shyness, insecurity, and avoidance. Still, a small, tiny part of her hopes that there is someone for everyone, no matter how unlikely it may seem.

    Otherwise, Gwythyn is a curious soul and she feels most at home in nature, from which she has derived some botanical knowledge.
