Shortly after Orion arrived at Hogwarts University, he was made aware that animals other than just owls, cats, toads or anything sold in Diagon Alley, could be brought to Hogwarts if it could be proven the animal was safe.

Orion immediately petitioned to bring Camila from Brazil to join him at the university. Maria Clara wrote a beaming letter about how lovely of a companion Camila is and how depressed she has become since Orion's leaving.

Camila was sent for and was put through a rigorous test to ensure that she was safe to roam the school and the grounds. Camila passed with flying colors. When a raven pecked her and a rat ran right in front of her without reaction, they deemed her safe.
