    Turk's Gift disrupts the process that allows other Gifted to manifest their abilities. He doesn't steal, copy, absorb or erase powers. He interferes with the moment where the intent of the Gift turns into effect and prevents it from manifesting.

    To most Gifted, being near Turk feels 'wrong' in a way they cannot describe unless they know exactly what he's capable of. Reports have described 'sixth sense' blaring to get away from him, inexplicable numbness in limbs, pressure behind the eyes turning into a migraine and similar other effects where it seemed as if their body was 'rejecting' his presence.

    Core Mechanics

    Passive Dampening

    Turk carries a low-level suppression field at close range. It is not always active at full strength, but stress, threat response, or direct power use nearby can awaken it. Within a few feet of him, minor Gifted effects may falter. Unstable abilities may flicker. A Gifted character trying to use a subtle power near him might find it harder to focus.

    Focused Suppression

    With line of sight and concentration, Turk can suppress one Gifted person's active ability (takes preps to ramp up the strength).
    Against weaker or poorly trained Gifted, he may shut the ability down almost instantly. Against powerful or disciplined Gifted, he can dampen, interrupt, or force them to struggle unless given the time to prepare (preps in post).

    Contact Shutdown

    If Turk can make physical contact with another Gifted, he can impose a stronger suppression of their Gift.
