Gin Martinez

Born in Miami, FL to Janet Martinez, a single mother, Gin landed in foster care at the age of 8 due to his mother's crippled drug addiction. He bullied others in school, often getting into fights and eventually landing in juvie. After hopping home to home, Gin moved across the country to Los Angeles, California after a uncle of his, Dante Martinez, gained custody of him. Despite initially cold at first, he came to view Dante as a father.

After school, Gin often spent his time at his uncle's bar. Later in his freshman year, Dante adopted Gin. He played basketball throughout high school and graduating with passing grades.
