  Tsu was born a beautiful and healthy baby girl. To Sun and Jin Shin a merchant and his wife. Jin had made their fortune in the trade of beasts large and small. Tsu had grown up with a circus to play with and it instilled in her a bold and brainless type of bravery. She grew into a lovely young woman with very little needs or wants. Yet during her adolescents she found herself in despair. Her father strictly traditional and mother obedient. These traits were expected of the willful Tsu. No matter how they tried to train their daughter it seemed to always end in disaster. Over time she grew to reject their beliefs and felt trapped by obligations that came with her gender. Racked with shame and guilt over her failings she more than once tried to end her life. She struggled with puritanical rules and expectations desperate to become the ideal daughter. When she was just sixteen they dressed in all the complications and grief that came with her Furisode and introduced her to her future husband. Something inside of her muted, hushed and Tsu no longer grieved. She faced her melancholy future with a sense of stoicism.
  
  That night she was saved. A band of thugs and thieves stole her away, hoping for ransom. Bludgeoned in her sleep, Tsu had no chance. She was captured and they were looking for the highest bidder. Her Father ensured a hefty reward to return of his daughter, dead or alive. But Tsu escaped before they could collect the ransom. Outside he found the world…..absolutely beautiful.
