The Story

• Iz' true name is Izabet, however, those that know her true name are either dead, comatose, or smart enough to not use it. As a rule of thumb, demons do not willingly give out their true names. A demon's name is virtually the only way to secure ownership or control over one. The only way she would give it out is under extreme duress, or... if for some very strange reason she liked you. If she does like you, it's possibly not a 'good' thing. She tends to cause trouble with her mischief.
  
  Demons are tricky creatures to begin with, Iz is especially so.
  She sort of makes it her job, and she has had several (several) lifetimes to get good at it. Humans that lack any sort of gift with the supernatural are usually completely oblivious to her presence. Which partly explains why she likes crowded places and busy scenes. Chaos and intrigue are nearly irresistible to her. Wars and political coups are just some of her more cherished places to be found.
  
  However, for those with a gift for the supernatural, or other supernatural beings themselves, she is extremely noticeable. Especially to those that read energy signals or auras. Izabet gives off a very distinct aura and energy signal. At first it would seem to pulse instead of the constant field emanated by an individual. Since she collects energy that which she dispels is never constant, nor are the colors simple. She is a vibrant beacon that changes colors. Sometimes slowly, other times rapidly. Generally the colors seem to move faster when she's about to do something drastic such as move through times or planes.
  
  Her kind are known as energy demons, not to be confused with either succubus or incubus. She is a rare creature that can pull, transfer, or manipulate the energy from anything that lives or holds, preserves, conducts, etc. For this reason, she is not fond of dead things as they are literally without any sort of vibrant energy apart from that small spark which animates them. So, anything re-animated is pretty much useless to her, also... they give her the heebie-jeebies. (What? She's not your average demon. She thinks Zombies and Vampires are really freaking hinky, ok?)
  
  If summoned, Iz is usually quite petulant. She's not a fan of getting jerked out of whatever time and place she was previously inhabiting. She's also not a fan of having to deal with the people that like to manipulate events by means of 'alternative methods'. Woe be to them if they happen to be an amateur and fail at keeping her contained. A series of unfortunate events would be the least of their concerns especially since Iz fancies herself to have a great sense of humor, usually to the detriment of others.
  
  A drawback to being what Iz is, is that she's heavily effected by strong emotions. Specifically real, honest, no reservations love. It's really the only time she will exhibit symptoms of what generally appear to be... well... drunk. She looks like she's just toasted a bottle of tequila. So, it shouldn't be surprising that she generally tries to steer clear of young lovers, small children, and puppies. That and unlike other demonic forms, Iz has the potential to feel human emotion. It's relative to how much time she spends in the human world and the companions with which she chooses to spend that time with. She's old enough to know better than to get mixed up in 'human relationships' (She's definitely been around the block more than a time or two... thousand?) but sometimes, it's too hard for her to resist.
