• Some History

  Cody originates from a land called Lanthia; he is a race called the Animae, created by a Lich named Mordac the Decayed when a powerful magical bomb turned a large portion of normal animals into humanoids. At first the creatures were used as servants and workers, but an uprising brought forth the Animus War between the nations of Aeris (who recognized the rights of the Animae) and Ayin (wanting to keep them as slaves). The war lasted a decade and nearly tore the world asunder if not for the intervention of the Elves, who made the nations sign a treaty.
  
  It would be during this time of turmoil that a young Cody, at the age of 15 would join the Knights of the Order of the Crimson Cloth, fighting against the Ayin Human Coalition. He received the Cross of St. Rayner for acts of heroism in the war. Disillusioned after witnessing the acts of violence the races of Lanthia engaged in, brother vs brother; Cody left the Aeris military and struck out on his own to find his way in the world. Over the next few years, Cody would travel upon various ships across the world; earning a living as a privateer, treasure hunter and even monster hunter.

• Personality

  Dry, cool wit. Cody will be the first one to quip, and always had the final word. Hot headed yet calm under pressure, a natural born leader. He doesn't openly share his past, but is always there to support his crew. To him, crew is family and his ship is home. However, he is the captain of his ship and his word is the last to settle any debate. Mutiny is punished with death, and for anyone to betray another member of the crew...that fate is worse.
  
  Cody and his ship never stay on land for too long, always traveling, always looking for the next job. He finds peace in the skies and is the last person to ever consider a life of retirement.

• Equipment

  Cody wears armor pieced together from chain and plate, but all of it is well kept. He does not display any medals nor wears the clothing of a gallant, simplicity and function is what he strives for.

• Skills

  The fox is well versed in melee combat, including the use of swords, daggers and hand-to-hand. An expert duelist in both the blade and firearms. Cody is also trained in riding land animals as well as Scarhawks. He is an accomplished air ship pilot but lacks any real degree in mechanics. There is however, no lock he has been unable to pick. Unlike most of the creatures he meets (or goes toe to toe with), Cody possesses no supernatural or magical abilities.
